Handy Shortcuts

 Ctrl Z – undoes your last action


 Ctrl Y – repeats your last action
 Ctrl S – saves the document currently open
 Ctrl P – prints the document currently open
 Ctrl N – opens a new document
 Ctrl O - opens an existing document
 Ctrl C – copies
 Ctrl X – cuts
 Ctrl V – paste
 Ctrl A – selects everything in a Word file, on a spreadsheet worksheet or on a PowerPoint Slide
 Ctrl I – italic font
 Ctrl B – bold
 Ctrl U – underlines
 Ctrl F – gives a dialogue box which you can use to find specific text
 Ctrl G – gives a dialogue box which you can use to Go To a specific point in a document
 Ctrl H – gives a dialogue box which you can use to Replace specific text
 Ctrl K – gives a dialogue box which you can use to insert a Hyperlink to another document or
elsewhere in the same document
 Shift F3 – Title Case, Upper case, lower case (highlight the word/s and hold down shift and then
F3)
 Shift F7 – Thesaurus ( highlight the word, click shift and F7, click the synonym and right click:
insert, copy, and look up)
 Translation – Type the words, press enter everytime, highlight the words, click table, convert
text to table, fill column number, every commas, hit ok
 Ctrl D – Font
 Ctrl O – Open document
