Beautify Your Living Room

Your living room is one of the most lived-in rooms in your home. The living room is the place
where friends and family gather to spend quality time in a home, so it's important for it to be
well-designed.  You spend a lot of time in your living room, so it should be comfortable,
functional and beautiful. As it is said that:
“Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful”
So you can decorate and make your living room by different methods and also enhance its beauty
in your own way.

 Seating
The number one thing a comfortable living room needs is comfortable seating. Fortunately, the
options are limitless, so you can find designs for small space living rooms, medium-sized living
rooms, large living rooms and everything in between. Once you determine how much space you
have to work with, you’ll want to ask yourself whether you prefer a sofa + loveseat + chair
seating arrangement or a sectional configuration. Opting for separate seating allows everyone to
spread out, while choosing sectional seating typically brings people closer together . . . unless
you have the room for a truly expansive design.

 Furniture and Décor

Step back and look at your existing furniture and decor. To make space, get rid of furniture that's
damaged, outdated, too large, too small, or that you just don't like anymore. If it's a family heirloom or a
piece you want to keep that doesn't fit in the living room, give it a new spot somewhere else in your
house.

 Use Different Colors

Color will set the tone for your room. A mostly blue and green room will have a calming effect,
while vibrant colors (reds, yellows, oranges) are energizing. A neutral room of whites, tans, and
grays is the perfect canvas for bright, bold accents. Pick colors you'll love seeing everyday

 Decorate with Mirrors

Designers often place mirrors strategically in small places in order to make them feel larger. One
of the most common small living room ideas is to hang a large mirror in a central location to
create a focal point. To reflect light and add a nice ambiance, put it behind a light source such as
a candle or pendant lamp. If possible, position a mirror across from your window so it will
reflect the view and give the illusion of another window.
 Pay Attention to Lighting
Getting your living room lighting just right can be a challenge, but it can also pull the whole look
together. Once you've decided what you need, you can then focus on finding light sources that
blend with your decor scheme.

 Select 1-2 end tables that are the same color as your couch.
To keep your furniture uniform, select end tables in the same color as your sofa or chairs. The
hue doesn't have to be exact, but this creates a streamlined appearance. Place your end table
immediately next to your sofa or chair so you can easily access it.

 Accessories
The sky’s the limit when it comes to choosing accessories for your living room. Rugs, pillows,
art, lamps and decorative accents add layers of color, texture and style that put the “living” in
living room.
Rugs often end up dictating the color palette of a room, so they’re the perfect accessory to begin
decorating with. They come in all shapes and sizes, patterns and materials. Same goes for
pillows, which means you’re bound to find the right fit for your living room. Aside from adding
softness to your space, these simple accents make big statements about your preferences.

Conclusion
Apply all the tips mentioned above in order to make your living room attractive and appealing.
