Introduction

Training need analysis can be defined as thee important process in both the academic and

professional fields (Doss, Krach & Vickers, 2017). The particular study has been developed

based designing thee training program based on organizational needs. In this particular study,

training needs in Starbucks have been analyzed. By continuing this evaluation program has been

designed for analyzing the impact of the training in performance improvement.

Training needs

In order to improve the performance standard, analyzing the situation in organization, the issues

are being identified. In order to analyze the training needs, a research on Starbucks has been

done. In the research, it has been identified that lack of interaction between the managers and

employees, the internal culture has got influenced. On the other hand, it is true that based

promoting efficiency, time management is an important skill that is important for the employees

to improve their abilities. Here, communication is the non-learning training need and time

management is the learning training need.

Training goals

 To adopt the interactive approach for improving the communication ability

 To adopt time management ability for achieving the desired goals within time

Significance

Goal 1

Analyzing the significance of communication training, it has been identified that through this

learning process creative ideas can be shared with the coworkers (Hember & Sved, 2019). It can

enhance the interactive skill in a person that helps to share the knowledge.

Goal 2

On the other hand, time management is another important skill that can be developed through

training for improving the performance efficiency (Sharma, 2018). Through the time

management skill, a person can accomplish the task within short time, which can increase

productivity.

Training duration:

6 months

Activities

Communication training activities

Activity 1: knowledge regarding the power of body language will be shared.

Activity 2: knowledge regarding the communication discipline will be shared.

Resources

During the training period the resources such as books, course materials, black board, computer,

projector and a market will be required.

Tasks

While sharing the knowledge regarding power of body language, both the positive and negative

body language related information will be shared with the participants. Through the head, eyes

and hand movement observation process, this skill can be gained.

Expected outcome:

It can be assumed that based on this particular skill, the interacting ability can get increased. By

continuing this, it can be said that based on the body language skill, understanding other needs

can be easier.

Activity 2

Tasks

In order to gain knowledge regarding the communication discipline, it is needed for the

participants to involve in different interaction process. Different workshops can be arranged.

Resource:

In this particular task, monitor, projector, internet connection a conference room, chairs and

others study materials will be needed.

Expected outcome

In the workshop, if the participants will involve in different seminars, it will enhance their ability

to interact with others and it can help in enhancing the knowledge. It can be assumed that after

this training program, individuals can strengthen their knowledge sharing abilities and both the

formal and informal communication technique related knowledge can be gathered.

Goal 2: Time management skill

Activity 1

In order to achieve this particular goal Mayo jar activities can be arranged

Tasks

While implementing this activity, the participants will be divided into different groups. Based on

the needs the activities will be developed based on own needs.

Resources

For this particular task rocks in different size, a big container, black board and paper will be

required.

Expected outcome

It can be expected that through this activity, the participants will be able to gather thee

knowledge regarding work life balance. This activity can also help in setting the priorities among

all tasks.

Evaluation plan for goal 1

In order to analyze the final output, different workshops can be arranges, where the participants

will be asked for sharing a presentation based on their own study area. Through this initiative, it

can be easier for the trainer to understand growth process.

Evaluation plan for goal 2

After completion of the training course, it is important for the trainer to analyze if the

participants have gained the skills properly or not. In this case, different tasks will be arranged by

the trainers, where selecting particular task and duration for completing the tasks, the trainers can

be able to give score the participants based on their performance.

Conclusion

In the above study, based on the training needs, training plan has been designed. In the training

program different tasks have been mentioned those can be used for achieving the goals. In the

end it can be concluded that, after completion of the evaluation process, proper monitoring

should be done for maintaining the growth.
