3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION OF THE PREPARATION

4. FIRST AID MEASURES


General : In all cases of doubt, or where symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, keep patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious place in recovery
position and seek medical advice.
Eye contact : Irrigate copiously with clean, fresh water for al least 10 minutes, holding the eyelids apart and seek medical
attention.
Skin contact Wash skin thoroughly with flowing water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.
Ingestion : If accidentally swallowed obtain immediate medical attention. Wash out mouth with water. Keep at rest.
Do not induce vomiting. If patient vomits, turn to recovery position. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If
breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing media :Recommended : Water, foam, CO2, powders, sand or earth. Not to be used:-
Recommendations : Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Keep drums cool by
spraying with water.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or watercourses.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES.


Exclude sources of ignition and ventilate the area. In case of major spillage evacuate the area. Refer to protective
measures listed in sections 7 and 8.
Contain & collect spillage with non-conbustible absorbent materials, (e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth)
and place in container (not aluminium) for disposal according to local regulations (see section 13). Do not allow to enter
drains or watercourses.
If products contaminates lakes, rivers, or sewers, inform appropriate authorities in accordance with local regulations.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE.
Handling
Suitable materials are mild steel, stainless steel, polyethylene, Teflon, polypropylene.
Electrical equipment should be protected to the appropriate standard.
Keep container tightly closed. Isolate from sources of heat, sparks and open flame. No sparking tools should be used.
Avoid eye contact & prolonged or repeated skin contact. Avoid inhalation of vapour and spray mist. Smoking eating and
drinking should be prohibited in application area. For personal protection see Section 8.
Never use pressure to empty container is not a pressure vessel. Always keep in containers of same material as the
original one.
Comply with health and safety at work laws.

Storage.
Observe label precautions.
Store between 5˚C and ambient temp in a dry well ventilated place away from sources of heat and direct sunlight.
Keep away from sources of ignition. Keep away from oxidizing agents. No smoking. Prevent unauthorized access.
Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good
general extraction

Personal Protection
Respiratory protection : When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use
appropriate certified respirators.(Type A filter) (See Engineering Measures
above).
Hand protection : Use PVC or nitrile gloves.
Eye protection : Use safety eyewear designed to protect against splash of liquids.
Skin protection : Where there is a risk of splashing impervious apron or jacket should be worn. All
affected parts of the body should be washed after contact.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY


Stable under recommended storage and handling conditions. (See section 7).
Keep away from oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline and strongly alkaline and strongly acid materials in order to avoid
exothermic reactions. Avoid sources of ignition.
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Ingestion : Slightly toxic. Large doses may cause some nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, drowsiness
& incoordination.
Skin : There may be irritation and redness.
Eyes : Liquid splashed in the eyes may cause slight to moderate irritation with possible corneal damage.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS


Do not allow into drains or watercourses. Wastes and empty containers should be disposed of according to Local
Authority instructions under the Control of Pollution Act 1974 / Environmental Protection Act 1990. (See Section 16 –
