CONTRACTOR’S SAFETY REQUIREMENT

1. Submit a Safety and Security Orientation three (3) days before the safety orientation day
2. Contractors must have a readily available document of the following:
a. A developed and updated Project Safety Plan, which includes COVID-19 prevention and control based on
government (DOH, DOLE, DPWH) guidelines & issuances.
b. Certificate of a registered Safety Officer (BOSH/COSH)
3. Contractors must have complete information (names, contact number and address) of all their project workers.
4. All project workers must have fit to work certified by the Doctor and subject their workers to Rapid Antibody
Test (RAT) from a DOH accredited provider. Copy of the test results shall be presented to AmPI.
5. All project workers must receive proper work-based training and safety orientation
6. Contractor must submit to AmPI Safety a response plan in case a worker becomes ill, especially if with symptoms
of COVID-19 (dry cough, fever, malaise).
7. Contractor must have a plan for how they can be safely transferred from the site to a health facility.
8. Contractor must have an advance agreement or memorandum with a partner healthcare provider or health
department.
9. All project workers must wear their face mask, company uniform and safety shoes at all times
10. All project workers must submit themselves for temperature checks and alcohol wash, worker have a
temperature equal or high than 38 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to enter the premise
11. Contractor must provide foot bath for their workers to soak both sole of their shoes in the mat
12. All project workers must observe social distancing (at least 1meter part) inside the premises at all times.
13. Retain the names and contact details of all participants for at least one month. This will help AmPI authorities in
contact tracing in case someone gets ill and diagnose as a suspected COVID-19 patient.
14. Comply with the AmPI Safety and Security Department and OSH regulations.
15. Safety Officer must be present at all times. Work activities must be strictly monitored to ensure compliance to
health & safety standards and quarantine protocols.
16. Safety Officer is responsible for daily monitoring of the worker’s health condition including but not limited to
temperature, health and exposure monitoring’.
17. Toolbox meetings must include proper dissemination regarding COVID-19 construction protocols on top of the
existing Construction Safety practices.
18. Conduct Weekly Safety and Security Meeting.
19. Contractor shall abide with the DPWH Department Order #39 (Series of 2020) for Construction Safety Guideline
for areas under GCQ (for Laguna)
