BEST AMERICAN PECAN PIE

J U M P TO R E C I P E · PRINT RECIPE · EN FRANÇAIS

Sweet, both so! and crunchy, the American Pecan Pie is a lovely classic for Thanksgiving.
Perfect to "x your sweet tooth!
Thanksgiving is now around the corner and it’s time to bake a great American classic:

the pecan pie! A lovely and very sweet dessert to enjoy with some vanilla ice cream.

To me, the main ingredients in a Thanksgiving dessert can either be pumpkin or

pecans (sweet potatoes as well). As I already published a delicious Chocolate Pumpkin
Pie on the blog, let’s give pecan pies a try today!

BUTTERMILK BANANA BREAD

As I live in Europe, I haven’t have so many pecan pies in the past but the few ones I
tried were amazing. This year however, Thanksgiving is a bit special to me, since my
boyfriend David moved to Chicago recently. Yes, moved. So I’m all alone in beautiful
Stockholm and we are forced to start a temporary (very) long distance relationship.
As a result, I feel more involved in the American life on a daily basis and I do care
even more about the local festivities. Among them of course, Thanksgiving is a
cornerstone!
As I am a sweet tooth, I chose dessert !rst: an authentic American pecan pie. The only
twist to this recipe is that it is a grandma recipe from my American blogger friend Ali
– Gimme some Oven. In her article, Ali explains how her grandma was an expert
at baking pecan pie.

Sweet, both crunchy and so", this pecan pie recipe is a must try. Perfect to
satiate your sweet tooth!

Sounds delicious Del, pecan pie is my all time favorite pie but I never make it
because I’m the only one who likes it. I think I’ll have to splurge and give your
recipe a try. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

As an American I can tell you this looks like a marvelous Pecan pie! I rarely
eat them because they are so sweet, but I might make an exception for this
one!

I make a pecan pie every year that I host Thanksgiving. It’s my mom’s favorite
pie. We eat it with whipped cream and not ice cream. Yours looks like my
Grandma’s pie. And that makes me very happy. Thanks for the smile!

I’m so sorry you and your boyfriend are having to be apart, Del! That’s not
fun at all. Love this beautiful pie though. Pecan pie is one of my absolutely
favourites but I have to confess I have never made one myself. I think I need
to change that soon

Hi April! Thank you so much for your support, this is so nice to hear! If
you already love pecan pies, you’ve got to try homemade pecan pies. It is
so much better when we bake by ourselves. I’m afraid you will soon be
addicted to it!
