Telephone Call Script

Hi, [patient name],

NURSE: My name is [employee name] and I am a nurse with Cone Health. I

hope you are doing well. Our records indicate that you were
diagnosed with a positive COVID-19 test result this year and were
recently discharged. Is that correct?

PATIENT Provides response

NURSE: I am calling you today to ask if you are interested in donating your

Patients like you, who have fully recovered from COVID-19 have
antibodies in their plasma that can attack the virus. This
convalescent plasma is being evaluated as treatment for patients
with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections.
Would you be interested in making a plasma donation?

NURSE: If yes, proceed to QUALIFYING QUESTIONS

If no, thank the patient for their time and tell them to follow up with their
primary care provider if symptoms return or if they want to schedule a
virtual visit with a provider.
