GENERAL RUBRICS OF THE MISSAL.

The following General Rubrics were promulgated by the Μost Holy Lord Clement pp. viii.
in the 1604 typical edition of the Roman Missal, expanding and clarifying the original text of
the 1570 edition. They remained in force until being entirely rewritten by the Most Holy Lord
John pp. xxiii.
