I have had these boots for 4 years and they have been the best boots I have owned. I had to have them resoled once in the
VALUE
time that I have owned them. The break in period was the usual boot once they were broke in they fit perfectly my most
comfortable pair of boots.

Soles are less than desirable

Funny how not one bad review.

Have worn these boots for 40 years now and still will continue to wear them, but! For the first time am buying online and
have the opportunity to send feedback.I get a new pair annually and that is because that is as long as they last. Generally
the sole is worn out at 9 mo, so traction suffers. Maybe they could recommend another model with the same comfort but
better sole wear.
Am online to purchase another pair. Will wait for response before doing so.
PS I just purchased a pair in May and the soles are almost smooth already.

I agree with your review, I have an even bigger disadvantage as being a welder and notice the soles wear
out sooner than later, and toes get worn from being on my knees and dragging my feet across often when
working..
I am a woman but have to order under the mens because they do not even offer pull-on booots for
women.
Wouldn't even dream of buying lace up, with all the slag, hot metal burning and dropping on my toes.

I have wore nothing but Red Wing boots since i was 13. Grew up around farming, and they were all i ever saw my dad wear.
This is my first pair of pull ons. Usually i always bought lace up, but wanted to try the convenience of pull ons. Took a couple
weeks to get used to, since i was always used to 8 inch. But now i love them. I wear them everywhere. Whether working, or
out on a date night. I honestly dont know how Red Wing stays in business. I have never had a pair last any less than 3
years. And most customers i know are the same. Great products!!

I am unable to find another par of work boots that will take the place of the redwing boot 2231. I have tried many others
brands and with the length and a C width of my foot it seems to be impossible. I am looking for a water proof boot and have
been unsuccessful.

I first bought a pair of Red Wing boots in the 1990's. Since then I have owned a couple through the years. My last pair of

2231's have lasted 7 years with 1 resole and are still going. I use the old ones for work/abuse and I bought me a new pair
just to wear when I'm out and about. Red Wing has served me well and their customer service has treated me well. I have
no complaints against them and will not buy another brand of boots. Keep up the excellent work Red Wing.
