COMMUNITY HEALTH SURVEY

INTRODUCTION: -

The community health survey is the is the most common and important method in the field of
health survey. It is the useful & reliable way of setting the real and factual information.

FAMILY HEALTH SURVEY DONE BY: -

The 1st year M.SC nursing of Manjari Devi College Of Nursing, Balakati, Bhubaneswar,
Odisha.

Place:- Balakati

Date :- 03/08/2018

SURVEY :-

Survey means an investigation process in which information is systematically collected,


recorded and analysis to solve of problem, survey is important component of population
survey.

FAMILY HEALTH SURVEY: -

Family health survey is the most common and convenient method in the field of family health
survey & it is a technique of collecting data through interview. The survey is used for
evaluating the health status of population, investigation of features affecting health and
administration of health problems.

OBJECTIVE OF FAMILY HEALTH SURVEY: -

 To identify the type of family.


 To know the population distribution, age, sex, ratio, education & literally status of the
area.
 To measure health improvement and decline.
 To predict medical expenses
 To assess treatment effectiveness.
 To compare disease burden across population.
 To identify the immunization status of the children.
 To know the occupational status of the community.
 To list the structure of the house among the village.
 To find out type of latrine uses by the villagers.

PLANNING STAGE: -

Preparation for survey: -

We are the students of M.Sc. Nursing 1st year, Manjari Devi College Of Nursing, Bhubaneswar,
Odisha have collected data for survey as guided by MRS.DEEPTY ROSHNI BILUNG,M.Sc.
(N), ASSO.PROFESSOR.

On date 03/08/2018
COLLECTION OF DATA: -

The data was collected through interview technique by taking family history
Population: -
We collected data from 30 families of chadheiguan,BALAKATI(BLOCK NO-06) & the total
population was 710

14.36%; 110 number of persons are pre-primary, that is 15.49…. %; …105. number of
persons are primary, that is 14.7%, 144…. number of persons are secondary; that is 20.2%

are above H.S; that is 19.1%

We have few knowledge regarding family health survey but after completing this family
health survey, it helps us to develop our knowledge about the health status, environmental
condition, educational status, economical status, acceptance of family planning and health
care facilities & marital status etc. of the com
