Introduction:
What is a nozzle? A nozzle is a gadget or a device used in giving
guidance to the gases coming from combustion chambers and
converts its thermal energy to kinetic energy.

Its main purpose is to change the characteristics of the gas coming

through it (like pressure, velocity, temperature, etc...) and that’s what
is be obvious after simulation.

Objective:-
Keeping record to the flow of the gas in three cases:-

 The pressure in the back of the nozzle in less the stagnation

pressure attached to the nozzle.
 The pressure in the back of the nozzle in equal the stagnation
pressure attached to the nozzle.

 The pressure in the back of the nozzle in greater the stagnation

pressure attached to the nozzle.
The Geometry of the nozzle in use:-

Nozzle Dimensions:-
Inlet Diameter
Throat Diameter
Length of the nozzle

Note:-
Only half of the nozzle is taken because its symmetric
Simulation Procedure:-
1- Ansys workbench was opened and fluid flow (Fluent) was chosen
from the toolbox > Setup.

The following instruction was given to the startup page:

Instruction Set to
Dimensions 2D
Options Double Precision
Processing Options Parallel
Solver Processers 4

2- From Fluent Main Screen: File>Import>Case

And the mesh was uploaded
 Note:-
All the previous steps are used in the three cases.

4- For the first case (the back pressure is less than the stagnation
pressure) the following instructions is provided to the setup:-
