In the depths of the Sudanese war, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, I witnessed the indomitable spirit of

humanity and the dire need for progress. It was amidst this backdrop that my journey as a mechanical
engineer began, fueled by an unyielding desire to contribute to the rebuilding of my war-torn homeland.
Now, as I stand at the threshold of pursuing a Master's degree in Operations, Project and Supply Chain
Management at the University of Middlesex Dubai, I reflect upon the experiences that have shaped my
character and propelled me toward this pivotal moment.
As a student of mechanical engineering at the University of Khartoum, I seized the chance to combine
technical expertise with entrepreneurial acumen, which was reflected in my graduation project, centered on
designing and prototyping a mechanical ventilator (due to the coronavirus outbreak then), which
highlighted my ability to innovate and apply engineering principles to solve a real-world problem. The
project aimed to increase the number of recovered patients from the coronavirus, by developing a
mechanical ventilator device, the study described the design and prototyping of a low-cost mechanical
ventilator as a reliable alternative to higher-cost commercial ventilators. This project won the prize of the
best graduation project at the University of Khartoum. I had a bigger dream to start an organization to
supply this kind of device all over the country, I am confident that I had the technical knowledge to perform
such a task and to train a workforce to do so, but I wish to acquire more knowledge through a master
program by comprehending the difficulties presented by strategic innovation, the strategies required to
activate and implement it, and the expertise required to lead it effectively, and I believe that modules as
Operational Excellence: The Lean Production System will provide me with a deep understanding of learn
how to set up Value Stream Mapping in business, human behavior within organizations, equipping me with
the ability to effectively manage teams, inspire employees, and drive organizational success.
Following graduation, I served as a teaching assistant at the University of Khartoum, where I had the
privilege of imparting knowledge to budding engineers. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation
for the importance of effective engineering management and the vital role it plays in driving organizational
success, there I taught the concepts of aggregate plans, master production scheduling, and material
requirement planning along with the main concepts of project management I didn’t even think that I’d be
learning more about these topics while I teach it but I did. I believe that teaching and educating young
promising students is one of the first steps that should be taken in the process of a nation’s reconstruction.
Currently, I’m serving as an Operations Manager Support at Dal Group, Sudan's largest conglomerate, I
have had the privilege of working at the forefront of economic development. My tenure at Dal Group has
fortified my abilities in strategic planning, operations management, and problem-solving within a fast-
paced and dynamic environment. Navigating through logistical challenges and optimizing supply chains
has honed my ability to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction while maintaining a steadfast
commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, I had a deep and practical vision of forecasting models
that varies between seasons and how to plot forecasted graphs depending on previous sales data, also I’ve
established replenishment plan for the supply materials that are delivered from overseas which main
objective to keep the lowest amounts of raw materials in the inventory so that the holding cost won’t
increase also I’ve been assuring the coverages for the diverse goods, and adjust the production plan for the
finished goods using conditional formatting depends on demands and priorities. The Strategic Supply Chain
Management module, on the other hand, will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the
economic forces that shape business environments. By studying concepts such as microeconomics and
macroeconomics, I will gain deeper insights into market dynamics, supply and demand, pricing strategies,
and resource allocation. This knowledge will enable me to analyze market trends, identify business
opportunities, and make strategic decisions that optimize profitability and growth.
I come from a background that is so striving with conflicts; political, economic, and social, that necessitate
the development of problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in daily life. I intend to bring with me the
essence of these values and skills as my approach to life, not just academics. I believe this will enhance the
culture of the University of Middlesex Dubai campus to that I’ll be long as it'll be a new perspective that
might be very important to the new world that’s approaching many difficulties as the danger of a collapsing
international economy, and the threats of pandemics, amongst the many other issues threatening the
habitability of the world. I’m confident that the information and the outcomes of this Master's degree will
help me comprehend business concepts better. With all the uncertainty and change in the globe, as well as
the numerous political, economic, and technical challenges my country is currently facing.
As I embark on this emotional journey, I carry with me the dreams and aspirations of countless Sudanese
souls yearning for peace, stability, and prosperity. This opportunity represents a chance for personal growth,
a chance to make a difference, and a beacon of hope that transcends borders.
