gateway into the business world. As I watched them navigate through an uncertain political,
economic, and social environment, and exhibit adequate risk-taking, which highly enthused
me to follow suit. As an entrepreneur, I gauge the challenges of the ever-changing customer-
centric markets of India and envision transcending the national barriers and diversifying the
business globally, to exploit the international opportunities. Pursuing MSc Entrepreneurship
at University College London would enable me to bridge the gap between my current
businesses, and my future aspirations.
Academically, I possess a solid foundation, marked by distinctions in both X and XII grades,
besides procuring first-class honours in all three years of graduation, and was awarded
Bachelor of Science in Business Management, from the University of Surrey. Primarily, the
modules of Leadership and Entrepreneurship intrigued me the most, helped develop crucial
critical and analytical skills in me. These would make me proactively participate in the case
study discussions, and present practical and feasible solutions, on account of my work
experience too. Interestingly, analysing businesses with an entrepreneurial lens would
facilitate an in-depth understanding of research-based theoretical and practical aspects of
start-ups.
While studying at Surrey, I was among the chosen few to receive the Santander International
Scholarship to study at North Carolina State University, USA, for a semester. The
experience of mastering the rigorous curriculum, interspersed with frequent examinations,
along with volunteering at numerous recruitment events transformed me from a hard worker
to a smart worker. The invaluable experience gained therein honed my management
competencies and entrepreneurial traits while appreciating the cultural and organisational
differences. Such exposure would help gain a competitive advantage in the contemporary
corporate world.
I feel a sense of achievement for transforming a utilised piece of family-owned land, into a
self-sustaining gymnasium during the pandemic. I undertook intensive research for procuring
high-quality fitness equipment; executing the orders was a great challenge due to
government restrictions. The decision to import the machines from China was not only
monetarily beneficial but also became our unique selling proposition. The intricacies involved
in importing machinery helped me explore the extensive scope of global operations.
Emboldened by the success of my first entrepreneurial venture, I collaborated with my
brother to establish a high-end banqueting facility. The construction work itself demanded
management and negotiation skills, as I had to estimate the opportunity costs before
choosing a viable option. I then realised how essential it was to double-check everything on
your own when there is a small team at your disposal and the importance of efficient
delegation for effective working. Our partnership, from inception to implementation of the
project has fructified in terms of escalating revenues. UCL Innovation and Enterprise as well
as the connections to various incubators would be instrumental in expanding my business
interests in a novel direction, globally, with the help of international networking encouraged
by the Institute.
The knowledge of imports and exports helped me secure a job at Tracmobility, a micro-
mobility managing platform based in London. My job profile as a Business Development
Manager entails importing hundreds of vehicles from Asian countries for clients all across
the globe, predominantly from the Middle East. I assist the clients in systematically ordering
and managing their fleet of micro-mobility vehicles. Further, I manage a team of three
associates and ensure achievement of sales targets, by way of well-formulated sales-driven
marketing strategies. I will bring this experience to the table for the benefit of the cohort
when studying the MSc Entrepreneurship and would be able to associate management
concepts with business scenarios. Concomitantly, I would one day like to start my own
business hence my previous employment except for part-time jobs and summer internships
have solely been. My last two jobs other than managing my businesses has also been at
start-ups and I have benefited greatly from those experiences and feel extremely confident
when leading my current venture. Getting hands-on experience and being able to conduct in-
depth research in the industry of my choice during the dissertation appeals to me as I am
primarily a kinaesthetic learner.
Under the guidance of Simon Hulme, the programme director, I ardently look ahead to
envision his entrepreneurial ideas that he implemented to build Frame Express and Card
Connection, his vision on investment management and establishing SMEs. Furthermore, I
intend to build up knowledge about the inherent characteristics and essence of financial
management from entrepreneur and leadership perspectives. It will enable me to identify
financial risks and manage them and use financial modelling to raise capital from different
prospective sources.
Above all, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experiences in three culturally
diverse countries, such as India, the USA, and the UK, together with a keen perspicacity
after having traversed over fifteen countries, would build my mental tenacity, further. I would
draw on the UCL Innovation and Enterprise to explore my options to be a part of a founding
team to decipher the complexities involved. This would make me future-ready for the
capricious pandemic affected world, to analyse management theories and their applicability
in business operations, with an entrepreneurial lens. My entrepreneurial initiative and
experience with start-ups would prove valuable to collaborate with other like-minded
individuals in the cohort.

second year as it was hampering my studies .During my second year, I wanted to do
something new by my own , so I got to know that some of my friends were also planning to
form a new club. This led me to collaboratory form a new club called opera8, which is based
on operations management and the eight in it symbolizes the eight core members there in
group formation. I also volunteered in a lot of events , which led me to build connections
with many people. After completing my second year , I worked as an intern in

activities. So, it was best for me as it helped me a lot in building my communication skills
and let me know about new things taking place in the market. I have also worked as a
volunteer in many organizations like Rotary club , mandla during my higher studies and in
Animal Shelter called SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) during my
third year. The Rotary club is a home for old age people and small children who don't have a
place to stay. The SPCA Noida shelter cum hospital is a home for more than 900 hundred
animals, ranging from dogs and cats to cows, buffaloes, bulls, donkeys, horses, etc. SPCA
offers- Shelter, Rehabilitation, Adoption and Medical services for animals.
The reason ,I chose your deemed university is because the modules it provides are
tremendous. I have gone through it very carefully , and found it a perfect match for the skills
I possess . It’s the ensemble of those particular subjects that just really brings the program
together. Of course, it’s also because of the monumental that the university exudes and the
international reputation the university holds. Also, I read about the diverse student who
shared their views in studying in your deemed university , which really uplifted my
decision.I desire to know about different cultures and understand in what prospects people
differ from each other. It will certainly help me in my academics , and also satisfies my
hobby of travelling.
