When I saw my grandmother, an unlettered woman handling our small family owned business with

her shrewd business acumen and grit, I aspired to be a business woman myself. However, I felt I
lacked the skills and natural talent for business like my grandma but always believed that I will make
up for it by learning and acquiring skills and may be one day continue her legacy. This desire led me to
pursue Bachelors of Business Administration from the no. 1 business school in Nepal. The rigorous
four years of undergraduate degree acquainted me about many different aspects of management
through various courses and prepared me for my first job straight of college.

Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing this motivation letter in relation to my Masters application for MA Management

program, offered at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice for the 2021 fall intake. This program with
concentration in Innovation and Marketing would be a solid step towards my future career goal as
consultant in a global market who can offer best solution to organizations across various industries.
My ultimate career goal is to hold a managerial position in a consulting firm helping enterprises
realize their potential and achieve their organizational goals.
In 2018, I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing
from a renowed university in Nepal, Kathmandu University School of Management. The honors

equipped me with essential skillsets such as systematic marketing research, analytical thinking and
business decision making. exposed me to a range of subject

While learning about the course curriculum available online, I discovered that
the subject material covered will best suit my career goals as it allows me to
explore different industries and specialization.

I have three interest:

All of which are present in this program, it is as if it has been tailored for a
highly curious person who believes in learning about every thing they desire
for.

I firmly believe that a multidisciplinary program like this one equips students with
extensive skill sets, practical knowledge from a broad range of sources and
subject matter.

- 2nd paragraph: Go into detail about your academic and technical interests

During my Internship at Paicho Pasal, an award winning agro-based industry as a market research
analyst, I came to learn about ……..

Although I was working as a senior executive of marketing in a tech-start up called FYMO, a social
network with the sole purpose of helping food lovers connect with other food enthusiasts and popular
restaurants, I had to dawn many different hats from customer care specialist to client servicing to digital
content creator to consumer insight/ data analyst apart from the designated role. I appreciated that a
generalist course like BBA had prepared me for a multi-faceted dynamic role. (skills learnt) in a dynamic
workplace of today, a person who adapts and can work is valued, if there is one thing I have learnt
through these experiences is that to be a part of todays workforce one has to have knowledge of……

the problems would be more valued.
My dads advice of taking risks young and trying out different things pushed me to acquaint myself with
unfamiliar areas before setting a life-long commitment to one specific role in one industry.

I then decided to serve as volunteer for Raleigh International’s ICS livelihood program and that which
where the precedent for my future academic aspiration was found. As a team leader leading a team of
13 multinational volunteers at a remote village of Gorkha for 3 months, I learnt the personal growth
than can be achieved with multi-cultural team. I also came to learn about agri-business, a high potential/
growth for a developing country like Nepal. This experience honed skills beyond leadership, project and
people management, it nurtured my perception of world view and desire to pursue global experience /
perspective to become a global citizen. Which would be made possible from international education
where Italy boasts its world class educational institutions and courses attracting students from all over
the world.

It was during my where I learnt the importance of generalized courses where we are exposed to
different courses because I had to play many different role during my volunteer, an educator while
raising awareness about climate change, a mentor to my junior volunteers and local youths, a project
manager overseeing the construction of poly houses and while whether you are leading a project,
managing a business or operating your business, we have to many di

overcome bigger challenges or prepare me to make informed decisions, calculated risks in the world

- 3rd paragraph: Connect academic and technical interests to your future goals in the program

Unlike MBA degrees that offer conventional courses,, this course

- 4th paragraph: connect future academic goals (from 3rd para.) and connect with short and long term
goals when you graduate

Upon completion of the masters degree, I want to come back to my country Nepal and work for ……

With my international experience and exposure, I will commit myself to bridge the ………. With young
nepali entrepreneurs and businesss aspirants through my consulting servies.

I believe that a multidisciplinary degree like this help me craft an ideal career where I can put

attitude worth emulating and what better ways to assimilate such culture than be a student in such a

I am excited and looking forward to hearing back from you with positive news. I want to be a part of a

I believe that studying at your prestigious university will give me the means to achieve my goals and
realize my dream. I therefore make an earnest request to consider my application for admission at your
university.

I have chosen  Queensland University of Technology  for its reputation in industrial and technological
project management and its international recognition as program cooperated with Australian
Institute of Project Management. This particular course and the university were also recommended by
my current employer who is your Alumni member.

Bearing in mind what, on the one hand, my interests, prospects and qualifications are, and what, on
the other hand your postgraduate study programme offers, I am very enthusiastic and eager to
undertake this challenge.

Thank you very much for considering my request, I am looking forward to hearing from You.

Yours sincerely,

As part of my role I liaise with clients regarding their marketing and management objectives, create
and update surveys to capture consumer behaviour, assist with technical data quality management,
code complex responses and in turn, produce insightful reports. Additionally, as it is a small company,
my role often demands that I gather primary data from academic papers, adapting content and
converting them into real market practices. During this role, I undertook and completed a Graduate
Diploma in Applied Statistics. The purpose of which was to better my understanding of clinical trials,
improve in survey design, and to learn how to program and store statistical data sets.

My responsibility, diligence and management aptitude were integral to the role, however, it was clear
that my progress was decelerated by my lack of technical, information systems-related, training.
From BPOs, NGOs to agro-business is slowly but steadily is trying to catch up with the digitization and
its agrarian economy is rapidly developing and moving towards digitization. Nepal has been serving as
a hub of BPOs to agro-business investment. These inevitable shift in the national economic growth
contributors implies there is a growing demand for large investment in software and hardware
infrastructure and also for peope with the right knowledge and skillsets to meet the demand.

All my interest …… it is as if the program has been customized for me. The combination of subjects
such as…. In year 1 and …… in year 2… would greatly contribute to my professional career aspirations
and goals.

The customised introduction to International Information systems addresses the next step in my
professional development. The Australian health care system is changing from a paper-based
recording system to a digital enterprise/network. This remodelling of a national health system implies
the need for large investments in hardware and software infrastructure and in people with the right
skillset to meet this demand. The combination of subjects such as ‘Advanced Service Management’
and ‘Fundamentals of Enterprise-wide IT Architectures management’ in the Management stream and
‘Data Warehousing’, ‘Knowledge Discover in Databases’ and ‘Process-oriented Information Systems’
in the Informatics path would contribute to my professional ambitions.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from [university name] in Australia. During my
degree, I was very active in many facets of university life. I completed a number of internships around
my university campus, working for small business owners. This gave me an outlet to apply theoretical
knowledge in a practical setting and also sparked my interest in Market Research and Business
Consulting. Further to this I remained engaged in university affairs by volunteering for the Student
Ambassador program. In this program, my duties varied from taking prospective students on tours,
introducing and guiding guests of honour, and speaking to schools around Australia regarding
scholarship programs.

Having exposure to these experiences at an early age sparked my interest in cultural interactions and
how information is shared by means of globalisation. With this upbringing, I became interested in
languages and henceforth

My ambition to study in Italy stems from a lack of equivalent professional programs offered in Nepal.

Nepal has been a budding ground for Business outsourcing,

As mentioned earlier, the future of healthcare in Australia will demand a workforce with a specialised
skillset. With this degree I would like to meet this demand and, in the future, be a pioneer in the
architecture, management and protection of information systems. Furthermore, Germany’s
geographic location and current economic strength attract industry experts from around the world.
With the notion of idea-sharing in mind, this would be a perfect ground to establish the next step of
my professional career.

With all of my experience listed, I am in search of bringing my career to the next level. The subjects
offered in this program are specifically in line with my professional goals. Additionally, the mandatory
study abroad semester provides a great grounding in which to further experience divergent cultures
and exchange knowledge. I am certain that the knowledge and skills learnt from my professional
experience, university, and extracurricular activities would make me a valuable addition to the
Masters of International Information Systems program offered at [university name].

As Nepal is getting more developed, there’s a growing demand for a new generation of managers who
can think outside the box, be adaptive and have a cross-cultural understanding of management
practices around the world.

Cue the multidisciplinary management degree. A degree which offers the opportunity to not just
study business management practices in isolation, but a degree which allows you to consider the
sociology and psychology behind business, ensuring a wider understanding of business and why
certain decisions should or shouldn’t be made.

requires an adept workforce and cadre of leaders to help address the many challenges and needs
facing companies, governments and societies worldwide,” according to a recent piece published in the
academic journal, Palgrave Communications: “Many of the challenges we face today are new and
there will undoubtedly be others arising in the future that will require innovative approaches and
solutions to overcome them. No longer are higher education institutions able to train graduates to
address all of the current and emerging challenges from a singular disciplinary source.”

Enter multidisciplinary studies. Rather than teaching students to look at a problem within one
intensive yet narrow context, this growing field encourages them to draw on a broad range of sources
and subject matter. Explains the Palgrave Communications article, “Higher education disciplinary
approaches often tend to focus only on a set of trees within a great forest. While disciplinary experts
are essential for understanding particular ways of knowing within specific fields of study, their
perspectives in addressing larger and more complex issues is often limited.”

In other words, the ability to solve complex problems ultimately relies not on extensive knowledge of
a single focus area, but on the ability to apply critical thinking skills to make connections, synthesize
different perspectives, and acquire new knowledge -- all toward supporting the development of
invaluable holistic perspectives. After all, what good is a solution if, in its lack of a broader context, it
only creates new problems elsewhere? In giving students the freedom to roam outside the
conventional constraints of a single discipline while tailoring their own degree programs to meet their
academic visions, multidisciplinary programs open new doors (and windows) for today’s students and
tomorrow’s leaders to devise new, comprehensive and lasting opportunities.

And contrary to common misconception, multidisciplinary studies aren’t just for students who don’t
know what to study. Rather, a master’s degree in multidisciplinary studies can expand a student’s
potential both within a specific area and also in terms of transferring that knowledge in the most
meaningful and impactful ways

An added benefit of allowing students to create and follow their own paths? They also develop a
vested interest in their studies and are therefore more highly motivated.

as a unique boardroom concept that prepares students for complex decision making in a dynamic
international business environment.

With society facing more challenges than ever due to the increasing rate of globalization and
digitalization, the demand for multidisciplinary teams of flexible and innovative experts in their fields
is growing. Its Master’s programs build on the knowledge and abilities students have acquired during
their undergraduate studies and encourage them to deepen their understanding within their areas of
expertise while linking this knowledge to other relevant areas.

interpret the outcomes and suggest/consult what needs to be done. I found my passion for helping
others – businesses, people and especially social causes. I felt like although an expert in an specific

invaluable insights into learning about my aptitudes and also fostered my personal skills sets such as
interpersonal communication, adaptability and problem solving.
Following my inclination towards social development projects, I then served as a team leader in the ICS

I volunteered as a consultant in 180 Degrees Consulting, KUSOM, a branch of the world’s largest
