Personal, Professional Background and Future Plans

A person of the present is the result of all the choices and decisions he has made so far. One of the
key instances that helped me figure out the path on which I should walk is a childhood one. I am a
self-starter and I have always known that I would create my own path. Nothing in this world comes
easy and it requires effort, passion, motivation and personal sacrifices. Although my family is from a
modest background, my father has worked hard to provide us what we needed to succeed in every
walk of life. I always had a penchant for learning more about various areas of business administration.
My inquisitive nature made my parents enrol me at the Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu for BA in
Social Work. It was here that I nurtured the desire to excel in academics. After I graduated in May
2014, scoring 77.5%, I felt that phase of life motivated me not to step back and never give up. After
completing my secondary education, I had to make a decision whether to pursue my higher studies
at a reputed institution or stay with the family and shoulder responsibilities along with my career.
However, after much thought, I decided to pursue my dream course in the UK and come back to India
for taking the next phase. In my free time, I like to read books, travel, write poetry and listen to music
to add colour to my personality. I always keep learning new things and working on my writing skills
keeping an eye on opportunities that come my way.
Furthermore, I am well equipped with various skills which include IT skills- Proficient in Word, Outlook,
Excel, PowerPoint, Ax Warehouse Management (Clouds) and especially language skills. My work
experience at Lakshmi Hospital, Ernakulam as Data Entry Operator and at Apollo Hospital Enterprises
Ltd, Ernakulam as Store Assistant has helped me work on my skills and now I am able to take on a
full-time job as an assistant manager operation. After getting back to India, I am very excited to join
Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd, Ernakulam as Assistant Manager of Operations. I will be like a sponge
and soak up whatever knowledge they have. Eventually, I wish to become a senior manager in the
company after working hard over the course of time.
About the Course and the University
I always believe in the quote "Be true to yourself." It has helped me to improve my career after my
higher studies and also guided me to perform better at every stage of life. I will be grateful for this
opportunity provided by the University of Essex for allowing me to study and pursue my goals. The
Institution of Essex is a public research university in the English town of Colchester. There is a large
proportion of foreign students, who come from over 140 countries to study at the institution. There
are three faculties of courses available: humanities, science and health, and social science. The Essex
MBA is built around eight core courses, the MBA Essentials, and three additional modules, the MBA
Toolkit, that capitalise on Essex Business School's specific areas of specialisation. We will also have
the chance to choose an optional module from a list of MBA alternatives relevant to our interests and
objectives. I am applying for the MBA course with a vision to enhance my knowledge and practical
experience. As a future manager, I wish to utilize such knowledge and experience from my past
endeavours that can help me better equip myself as a leader and decision-making professional in the
corporate world. I believe that with an MBA degree in hand, I will be better equipped to contribute
not only to my organization but to society as a whole.
In today's competitive environment, it is essential to prepare for a career in accountancy and finance.
The MBA will enable me to make the most of my skills and knowledge to succeed in the corporate
world. I am confident that I would be able to contribute a lot at the office, as well as, I would be able
to put my life experiences into fruitful use. The courses offered here are aligned with my interests
and I see myself as a good fit for the subjects offered. I have a very good academic record in terms of
both my performance and grades at various levels. I believe that I can achieve the same level of
success again in the university environment.
I have chosen to go for MBA because it is a rigorous course aimed at preparing me for my future
career choices, as well as achievements. It will give me the opportunity to enrich my knowledge base
through discussion in seminars and workshops which will assist me in meeting future challenges. The
courses offered by the University of Essex meet all my qualifications such as their teachings are
practical and relevant to the industry standards. This will help me better compete with international
companies, which may be hiring people from this university soon after they graduate. The goals I
have set for myself are carefully accessed and I plan to achieve them. I am confident that I will
graduate MBA with high marks, which will help me get a good job and make a difference.
Conclusion
Staying in the UK is one of the best opportunities that come my way to improve myself in terms of
both my education as well as career. This MBA course at the University of Essex will help me realize
all these goals and also provide me with an edge over others regarding skills and knowledge, which
can be very useful for me in the future. I envisage contributing my best in the field of business
administration during and after my graduate study at the University of Essex. I hope you will consider
