My name is Rinto Roy and I'm an economics graduate who has always been
fascinated by the financial sector's functioning and operations, so I chose to
enrol in a financial planning and management course to learn more about it. I
was ecstatic at the prospect of gaining worldwide exposure while receiving a
top-notch education that would help me grow in my chosen career. Despite the
fact that India is a developing nation with well-established institutions, I applied
to the University of Roehampton's post-graduate Global Financial Management
degree because I wanted to expand my knowledge of the world beyond my own.

I attended NSS Higher Secondary School for my 10th & 12th grade. In May
2021, I graduated from Government College, Kattapana, under the Mahatma
Gandhi University, Kerala, with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. During my
final year degree, I did a Project on ‘Prohibition of Chinese Application in India
- A case study on Impact of smart phone users in Kerala’  This
program provided me the fundamental information, abilities, and competences
in the field of Financial Planning and Management.

I noticed many prospects in Finance Management and related sectors, and I

realized that gaining a deeper understanding of the subject through an
international certification would help me accomplish my aim of working at a
high level. I realized that I needed to study more about current developments
and techniques in finance, financial markets, and financial applications, as well
as get practical experience with financial analysis, in order to attain my career
goals. I conducted extensive study into the courses and institutions in India that
may assist me in achieving my professional objectives. Finally, I decided to
pursue a program in Global Financial Management outside of India because
the majority of comparable programs offered by Indian institutions only
provide short-term certificate courses that do not meet international standards
and do not emphasize the development of practical skills.

Initially, I weighed my alternatives for pursuing a degree in finance, and my

search for a programme led me to the University of Roehampton's MSc in
Global Financial Management. Business Research Methods, Strategic
Marketing, Global Strategic Management, International Corporate Finance,
Core modules (Spring Term), Financial Performance Management, Leadership
and Change Management, Strategic Investment Appraisal are all included in the
curriculum. They also provide a Consultancy Project, in which a suitable
organisation partners with us to provide fieldwork access on-site at the chosen
firm for a period of 12 weeks. This will allow me to get practical experience
that will aid in my career advancement and allow me to use classroom
knowledge in the workplace. Aside from that, the program's curriculum will aid
in the acquisition of specialized professional expertise, technical knowledge,
and marketing skills.
The University of Roehampton is a prestigious institution dedicated to helping
students achieve their full academic and practical potential. I am confident that
the University's track record will assist me in achieving my goal in the shortest
period possible. The College offers outstanding facilities and possibilities,
which are ideal for an overseas student like me who wants to expand
his knowledge and skills in my field of study. Attending classes would be a
wonderful experience as well, because the programs are quite informative, and
the majority of professors are very passionate about what they teach. All of
these factors together led me to choose the United Kingdom as the greatest
option over the next best alternative. The United Kingdom is a key educational
center, including some of the world's most renowned and historic universities,
as well as highly ranked institutions. A Master's degree from the United
Kingdom is in high demand in my country, and I am confident that earning one
would open up more doors and place me in a better position.
After completing my education, I intend to return to India and work for a
reputable business, using the knowledge and practical training I obtained at the
university to launch a successful career. This is my sincere request to the
University of Roehampton to please accept my application and offer me a
place in your MSc program.
