STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS TO FOCUS ON GOALS NOT OBSTACLES”

I NIKHIL GUNTAMUKKALA born in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. I wish to pursue

International Business Master of Business Administration (MBA) for September 2021 intake,
which I believe will be a successful pathway in achieving my goals and challenging career.

Educational Background:

I have completed my secondary schooling from Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh
(SSC) in March 2012 with an aggregate of 77%. I had chosen Mathematics, Physics, and
Chemistry in my intermediate and completed in the year 2014 from Andhra Pradesh Board of
Intermediate Education Examination with an aggregate of 81%. I further enrolled for a
Bachelors of Business Management (BBM) – 3 years course in the year 2014 for my under
graduation in Aditya Degree College, Affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (AU). I have
completed the course in 2017 with an aggregate of 72.6%. Thus, BBM was a direct consequence of
my convictions. Subjects like Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance
Management, Business Mathematics and Statistics, Computer course, etc., I had spent more time in
internship than theoretical classes, which helped me gain all the practical knowledge which would
be helpful in real life. To tell you more about my interest, the final year project “EMPLOYEE
RETENTION AND STRATEGIES.” Its objective is the maintenance of better human relations
in the organization by the development, application and evaluation of policies, procedures and
programs relating to human resources to optimize their contribution towards the realization of
organizational objectives.

I am an extrovert candidate from childhood and used to take lead in technical and cultural fests
during my undergraduate. As it is well known that if fests are successful the primary or the sole
reason should be accredited to the leader as he plays a key role in organizing and interacting with
juniors& sponsors. I used to direct my fellow mates their roles & responsibilities in a clear manner
so that we all together could achieve the goal collectively; this gave me a chance to coordinate &
negotiate with all the vendors and finalize the requirements.

After completing my Graduation, I worked as Senior Customer Service Representative In

Concentrix Daksh Services Private Limited. Where my job role is to maintain a positive empathetic
and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Communicating with customers through
various channels acknowledging and resolving the compliance. Within a short period, I received
many Awards and Rewards for my work, out of the entire team for my best performance, I got an
opportunity to meet the location leader and became the star performer for successive months.
Why United Kingdom?

UK is one of the world’s most popular leading destinations for international students.UK
universities are among the best in the world, and consistently perform well in world rankings. They
also have a reputation for world-class research. UK higher education degrees and qualifications are
recognized by employers and academics worldwide. Students get the opportunity to develop the
skills, knowledge, critical thinking, and connections to drive forward in their careers. The UK
education system promotes close interaction between students and professors and provides the
freedom to combine different subjects into a single course of study. English language support is
offered by many institutions to help international students in development of the essential study and
language skills required to complete their course successfully.

Studying management Subjects helped me to understand concepts in and around the world. Some
of the subjects Industrial Management, Managerial Economics and Financial Analysis in my
under graduation have laid the basic understanding of spin of the world. A business starting at
one place doesn’t end at the same place. It’s a cyclic functionality and needs vast exposure to the
changing business or corporate environment. Studying in UK would provide those important
insights which will lead me to be a better manager and take higher responsibilities and pertain
good leadership skills. Since the UK Universities give more practical teaching rather than a
theory class it gets easier to work with my peers in my home country. India is growing with
international companies and the demand for employment is high among the graduates, therefore it
is important for me to be more advanced and skilled and build unique profile and grab the
opportunity in a much deserving manner.
Why not USA, Australia and Canada:

Comparison to other countries- Australia has high fees and high living expenditures. Its value of
money is too high and most of the universities there provide only 12-14 months’ masters where we
cannot gain much in- depth knowledge of any course due to less time and more work load. Canada,
more or less the same and the fact is they have very less Universities in comparison to USA and the
climate is extremely harsh. Canada is not offering direct masters and it has extreme climatic
conditions. For USA, there is a concern regarding the Universities as there are many universities
being blacklisted & the students have been sent back from USA. The UK masters are one year and
they have no much recognition back in India with institutions and employers. As such, UK scores
better than all those countries in the areas like – admission to a world class university at an
affordable cost, easy admission criteria with world class recognition of the qualifications. As such I
have zeroed United Kingdom to pursue my higher education. I have therefore for the above
mentioned reasons decided to study Masters in International Business from a very reputed
University in United Kingdom.
Why University of Salford?

thus I wish to be a part of excellent engineering programs of your reputed university. This reputed
university with experienced and excellent faculty, modern facilities and extensive libraries, will
provide the right environment to develop my talents. I am sure that I possess the qualities of
working hard and being perseverant in addition to intellectual ability and rive that are needed to do
