Personal Statement of Nisarg Patel

Introduction:
It is my great pleasure to write this statement of purpose in order to pursue my further academic career in
‘Business Management’ study. I have completed H.S.C in science at from Gujarat Secondary & Higher
Secondary Education Board, Gathinagar), Gujarat, India. And wants to do graduation in ‘Business
Management’ in the UK. Therefore, I am applying for the ‘Business Management BA’ at Coventry
University, London campus.

Why this Particular University:

The university I have chosen for study in the UK (Coventry University) greatly contribute in the economic,
social and cultural development of the London and beyond. The university is ranked top 3% of universities
worldwide by Times Higher Education in their 2018 World University Rankings. Moreover, it also features in
the top 200 of their Young University World Rankings. 94% of the university are work within 6 months of
after graduating.

Why this particular campus:

Furthermore, London campus is well recognized for its diverse student numbers from different countries
around the world. The university and its London campus provide quality education to its huge students from
more than 70 countries. Even though the course curriculum includes advanced expertise in marketing,
finance, global human-resource management, international business, international trade, project
management, strategy and leadership. Apart from the strong foundation courses offered, diverse elective
programs will provide me greater insight into different industrial domain. Also, implementing theoretical
concept on the capstone project while working with real time data would greatly help in in future
endeavours and make me job ready.

Consideration of any other universities:

In my research to find the appropriate university for my further education in the UK I have also looked into
Anglia Ruskin University and Ulster University for my intended course but did not find such course as well
as modules do not meet the criteria I was looking for. Hence, my decision to apply at Coventry University,
London campus boosted from this search as well.

Why chose this particular program:

The course I have applied for (Business Management BA) is one of fundamental program in order to
pursue a Bachelor program in the UK. The course will cover modules like advanced expertise in marketing,
finance, global human-resource management, international business, international trade, project
management, strategy and leadership. These are the modules I was looking for to prepare myself for the
main Master program in the UK. I have not considered any other program other than this as I am keen to
pursue a foundation program that covers the above mentioned modules.

Career path:
After completion of this foundation program my plan is to serve my country in a productive way. I am very
much interested to pursue a career in Business Management in India. Our country is emerging
economically and there is a great demand of business consultant within the country as numerous new
businesses are starting their venture every day. But lack of specialist consultants harming the growth of all
the businesses greatly. The program I have approached is fully aligned with the career path I have decided
for me. Modules like HRM; marketing; economic environment will immensely help to develop myself as a
future business consultant. Unfortunately, in our country there is no such university which provides these
modules with the knowledge of practical side of it. Merely, theoretical practices are available within our
universities and students are failing to implement this theory when they join the workforce.

Why UK:
The UK is home to 438,000 international higher education students each year and it’s easy to see why. The
experiences, knowledge, and confidence gained by studying in the UK will inspire you to create one’s own
path in life. The UK higher education is among the best in the world and consistently performs well in world
rankings. In the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2018, UK universities have: 3 in the
top 10 (with University of Oxford and University of Cambridge being the top 2 universities in the world)
and 7 in the top 50. The UK has a global reputation for quality assured education. These factors prove that
why most of the international students chose UK as their study destination.

Conclusion:
I hope after considering above information I will be given a chance to study this program at your university
in order to pursue my cherished career. I have provided necessary documents along with my personal
statement.
