STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My name is Suresh Chinthapandu. I majored in Bachelor in Hotel Management Degree, from

Vinayaka Missions University, and I have done my master’s in MBA from Kensington College
of Business London. I write this essay to elaborate why I want to pursue Mater’s, MSC in project
management from top rated University’s in UK. Ever since I was a school student, I used to
dream of having my own restaurant. My inspiration to step into the hotel industry came from one
of my cousins, who owns a restaurant business. Once I have visited his family in Pune, where I
had opportunity to spend some time at his restaurant. I saw how my cousin looked after every
department of the restaurant efficiently and managed both his employees and customers in a
professional manner. Even since, The thought of running a business used to excite me a lot. As
my intellect matured, I realized that there are so many facts in the business world. In course of
my graduation, I got to delve deeper into various aspects of this field and it made me more
vehement to secure a career in the same. I am presently eager to enhance my learning curve to
gain advanced skills and global insights about my chosen field. I am looking to fulfil my dream
of owning my own restaurant. It is for this reason that I wish to pursue the MSC IN PROJECT
MANAGEMENT program from University’s in UK.

I am looking for a program that can bestow me with excellent managerial and organizational
abilities, along with adequate leadership and decision-making skills. Right from childhood, I
love to explore new places and try different cuisines. These attributes make me a suitable
candidate for a dynamic and evolving field, like the hospitality industry. Following my
inclination towards this arena, I chose to study Bachelor in Hotel Management Hyderabad and
MBA in travel tourism in hospitality management London. I owe it to my alma mater for
comprehensively nurturing my career interests and getting me equipped with extensive
knowledge and skills about food, hotel and hospitality industry. I adeptly balanced both my
academics and co-curricular activities throughout my graduation. By actively participating in
various cultural events and sports I developed my interpersonal and communication skills.
Training programs, academic projects and internships boosted my practical skillset and made me
familiarized with different core areas of this field.

I worked as a hospitality trainer in Vashista Academy of Skills and Entrepreneurship LLP,

Hyderabad, India. where am responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of academic and giving
hospitality training to the students. This involves in-depth communication with students and
senior faculty. My style of teaching simple concepts of hospitality methods, as well as more
advanced topics are both superior and I took a demanding course load to complete the courses on
time by this I impressed other staff members. I observed experienced faculty closely in order to
improve my teaching abilities. I learned to acclimatize myself to any situational problem that
came my way, which helped me to give my best and maintain composure in pressurized
scenarios. Many a time, my hard work and commitment were recognized by the management,
and I was duly rewarded. I went on to gather eight years of professional experience at this firm,
enjoying every moment of my tenure. In recent months, I have been consciously thinking about
pursuing higher studies so as to upgrade my skills and enhance my insight on business. The
thought of opening my own restaurant has constantly chased my mind. Eventually, after a deep
contemplation and discussing with my family and well-wishers, I decided to do an MSC degree
with a specialization in International Project Management. Pursing higher education from
reputed university in UK seemed to be perfect because “the master’s degree from the college
affiliated to university, have less value compared to the master’s degree from the university
itself”.

For long, I have been impressed with the high standards of living in UK. So, from the time I
decided to do higher studies from foreign university, the first choice of country that came to my
mind was naturally UK. The educational system here is considered of top-notch, and there are
numerous renowned universities in the country. I chose UK University’s, to pursue my higher
education course after going through the curriculum and the current research. I feel that when it
comes to the field of Project Management, which has always been a driving force for the
country’s healthy economy, UK university provides the up-to-date and advanced nature of
courses. The technological advancement that the field of Project management has achieved is
unparalleled. And unless the teachings are in tandem with these changes there will not be much
gained from the knowledge. As my dedicated pursuit in life is to excel and shine in the field, I
could think of no better collaboration than with your institution. The top-of-the-notch study
environment and world class infrastructure and teaching staff are just the tip-of-the-iceberg of
the greatest achievements of my life to be enrolled in such an awe-inspiring institution.

I will conclude this essay with the final note, of how these studies will enrich my learning
experience and help me into my new business. Already worked with Hospitality industry I have
gained good insight on how it is to be a good Entrepreneur. Alongside this work I would also
like to see myself get into my own business. Giving something new and useful to this field is one
of the distant goals I have for myself. With the help and tutelage that I hope to receive, I am sure
that I will achieve that goal. Hence, I look forward with the great eagerness and enthusiasm to
study in UK University. I am sure that if this dream is fulfilled then this experience will provide
me with a great insight, responsibility and challenge that will help me to grow as a professional
and an individual after returning to my country. After completing the MSC program.
