When I joined the Vellore Institute of Technology for my undergraduate studies in Mechanical

engineering, I had admitted that Mechanical Engineering is the mother of all engineering
sciences. The academic and work-life distinctions have provided me with the best of functional
and technical modules. I have taken a dramatic transition from core mechanical engineering to
information science. The best part of my engineering studies was that I realized that to be a
successful engineer, we must possess an eye for details, decisiveness, problem-solving
capabilities, and a few programming skills. Regardless of which field of engineering one may
come from, these are some of the essential skills one needs to drape with to fit the industrial and
entrepreneurial sectors. Studying in this elite college has not just given me the right education
but an eye to recognize what I am capable of and what my vocation is. Today, I decided to
pursue a master's program in Information systems as a supplement course for my future
endeavors. To fulfill this desire, I have chosen to pursue my master's degree at
___university___.

The decision to choose Information systems began during my employee days at Capgemini
India, where I worked as an Analyst for one year. During this period, I have gotten trained on
SAP technology along with SQL, Linux. I even got promoted as a Sr Analyst after the company
evaluated me as the best performer during project delegation. I worked with clients such as TE
connectivity and ____ While one focused on providing innovation that enables life-saving
medical care, sustainable communities, efficient utility networks, and the global communications
infrastructure, the other focused on delivering the most compelling automation, and services
accelerate pharmacy perfection. My projects during this period concentrated majorly on system
configuration, system monitoring, Automation, SAP solution manager, etc.

Working as the SAP Solution Manager was one of the most defining experiences of my
professional career. I had the privilege of working on a broad range of design thinking processes,
agile development methodologies, automation, and AI. I was exposed to change management
and project planning, being more proactive, predictive, and productive was something I learned
over the process of working. The quest for this field made me more attuned to more solution-
based approaches that, in return, helped me gain extensive knowledge. Although it was not a part
of my job requirements, I attended webinars and conferences that helped me gain some renewed
insights about the same. Such expertise has naturally helped me configure various systems in the
landscape, create dashboards, and many more. With the pinch of my pre-existing skills and
current working skills, I thought that it is the right time for me to jump shift to better career
options to make effective technological and management decisions at the managerial level. This
led me to Information systems as an ideal option.

Hailing with an engineering background from one of the Tier 2 colleges in India, I have the
motivation, skills, and rational abilities to master any demanding course. During my college
days, I worked on a project called DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF BATTERY THERMAL
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES, which gained momentum in the college
among my professors and peers alike. I also interned with Cummins India, an engineering
manufacturing company. I have worked in an engine assembly line where I had the opportunity
to witness the whole process of engine assembly, starting from manufacturing an engine block to
installing various parts to it. These add a special distinction for me to embrace adaptability as I
got a diverse insight from various industries. Another interesting experience I hold is that I was
the Brakes HOD for Team UTTEJIT, a focused group that works on __________. During this
time period, I have managed my team quite efficiently, which gave me a flair for management.
On the other hand, I also have worked for different clubs and chapters as a video editor while
heading a design team. These areas show my exceptional management skills coupled with the
vision and mission to take up challenging roles and deliver the best with quality and quantity.

Although I come with both functional and technical skills at this junction, I feel more to my
learning. I am more than willing to learn ____________,__________,__________ if its
required as a part of course undertaking. Since I also possess specialized industrial
knowledge, I am sure that I will pursue the course program in the right direction. After carefully
evaluating many universities, I chose your University because it offers a full-time master's
program in information systems with a top-notch course curriculum that will shape me to
become highly skilled in this field. I researched the professors of the University and found them
to be very elite and experienced in their field of study and research. I personally would like to get

company like TESLA, where the domains of Information systems and Mechanical engineering
are merged with perfection.
