Activity 2: Comprehension

Paul Sheldon is a famous writer of romantic novels set in the Victorian era, whose
main character is called Misery Chastain. He presents the death of his main
character as part of the writer's plans to meddle in new literary genres and plans to
start with the publication of the manuscript of his most recent work "Fast Cars".
One winter afternoon, during a snow storm on his way to Los Angeles, he suffers a
traffic accident. Wake up at the home of Annie Wilkes, a nurse admiring her work
who claims to be her number one fan. Given that Paul's legs will remain broken
after the accident and the treatment he will receive to withstand pain with
sedatives, the writer has no other choice but to remain in bed under the care of
Annie, who at first seems to be an enthusiastic fanatic without However, Paul
realizes that something strange is happening with Annie's behavior as she agrees
with the apparent reason and is very violent.

Activity 3: Discussion

In general, the woman's character is somewhat fickle and psychologically wrong,

the main character I perceive as naive because apparently he has no character to
be able to do something and get out of that hell, it is a complicated reading
because there are words that I do not understand 100 % but however I have set
myself the task of investigating, in the same way in the part where the police try to
rescue the main character it happens that they ambush him and it turns out that he
also keeps him as a prisoner, it is illogical because it is supposed that in Cases like
these call their "reinforcements" meaning more police equipment, in conclusion this
book is too fanciful.

Stephen King's "Misery" is a fictional novel.

Activity 5: Review
Misery in conclusion is a fiction-based novel, and tells the life of a character who
has an accident and wakes up next to a fan, is subjected to drug addiction thanks
to Annie and is forced to change the story of a book so that his fan does not kill
him, he keeps him with her for a few days, the police try to find a way to find him
but he falls into the wrong hands, since Annie set him up and now he has the main
character and a police element deprived of his free, in the end they manage to
escape by wounding Annie with a typewriter, and Paul the main character
manages to send his manuscript to a publisher, to be published later.
