Subject: ADMARINE 260, IMO 8756540 - Application of International Convention for the
Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004 (BWM Convention)

Dear Sirs,

In accordance with regulation E-1.1 of the BWM Convention, Ships of 400 gross tonnage and
above to which this Convention applies, excluding floating platforms, FSUs and FPSOs, shall be
subject to surveys for issuance of an International Ballast Water Management Certificate
(IBWMC).

The subject vessel is considered a floating platform and provided, the vessel implements an
approved Ballast Water Management Plan and Ballast water Record Book and discharges Ballast
Water and Sediments at the same location where the whole of that Ballast Water and those
Sediments originated and provided that no mixing with unmanaged Ballast Water and Sediments
from other areas has occurred, the subject vessel is not required to be surveyed for issuance of the
IBWMC.
