As technology progresses, society follows by intergrading the

technological advancements into the citizens daily lives.

I. Theses technological inventions lead towards shaping the country’s’

infrastructure.
The printing press filled knowledge gap, typically only the wealthy or politicians
were the ones who knew what was happening in the country and the world. With
the new technology of the printing press, information was now able to reach all
classes of citizens. This technology was used as the nation progressed and helped
spread word of the forward movements the country was taking. Information and
notions were published across the country to allow the public to partake in path of
the new nation, forms of this revolutionizing technology is still used today, in
marketing and conveying information.

Industrial revolution – Because of the creation of the engine factory were able to
revolutionize the way products were produced. The engine closed the power gap in
society where manual labor was once used now powerful machines, this helped
raise production on a much larger scale. The progression of coal iron and steam
correlated to the progression of factory technology. With the more and more
factories opening, a much faster and more convent way of producing products,
many citizens were looking for industrial jobs rather than the hard hand labor of the
past. With less manual labor it allowed the country to make steps away form
slavery and colonialism.

The railroad - Not only did the railroad create a new, beneficial and convenient way to
transport materials from mines to the processing plats but over time they were extended
to distribution facility’s and market shops. Eventually two companies created the
transcontinental railroad helping reach the goal of Manifest Destiny; goods and
passengers were now able to ride in this new transportation “from sea to shinning sea”.

 II. As a society’s technology continues to progress the economy will also
have to adapt to combat these changes within society.
During this time gold and silver was exchanged for paper money, the paper money
served as a placeholder for the actual precious metals. The printing of paper money
changed the way the public had used the currency. Not only did this change
revolutionize the way people do business but also how governments were financed.
Paper money was more convenient for holding but also the production of the
product was cheaper and simpler than traditional gold and silver holdings. The new
form of currency opened many new doors into society with new labor jobs,
economical growth and opportunity’s for wealth. Because this new form of currency
was so relativity new the government was able to experiment with supply and
demand raising the worth of gold and silver and inflation the nations economy

As paper money, now being the form of currency used among the country, citizens were
able to invest that money into a companies by purchasing or trading shares on the stock
market. The shares were a new way for companies to collect funds for improvements and
investments. With the new innovations and ideas being intergraded into society there is
room for error, especially when it is being done for the first time, and in a disordered
manner; society can be pushed back in time rather advancing forward. During this time,
in the United States, people had high hopes of making wealth and fortune for themselves
and their family in the stock market. As the stock market crashed so did the hopes and
dreams of the citizens who dumped their live savings into the market as they react in an
uproar. The horror of the stock market crash uprooted many lives and even drove some to
suicides, either from depression or trying to collect life insurance to keep their family

With information being readily spread and the threat of war, women were able to
step up in society and perform the same daily tasks as the men. The technological
driven society made it easy for woman to learn the new trades and take over when
the men went over seas to war. Information being spread was able to help unify the
members to stand for their cause to take a permit place within the workforce and
not just as a substitute. The advancement in machinery allowed both woman and
men to contribute to society and the economy.

 III. The progression of technology leads towards a new trends in family life
and pop culture.

As the newest and the latest technology integrates into society it opens up new
doorways for information and creativity to flow into citizens daily lives.
Automobiles, telephone, telegraph, camera and the phonograph completely altered
modern-day society. From the way people were now able to communicate from
distant locations and document moments onto paper.
The innovation of the engines, from steam engines used in trains and factories to
manufacturing new technology to making the combustion engine, these
advancements continued to shape society and progress the country into a
technology driven society.

Music was a way of rebellion citizens were able to disregard the social standards to
which society oppressed upon them. Suppression of expressing ones feeling
towards sexually interest and sexuality was fueled though music and movies as
citizens recognized they were not isolated with these mindsets and opinions. Also
the invention of the television and the radio changed the way family’s interacted and
spent quality time together. These new forms’ of entrainment and information a
sparked a great advancement into the future of the society and the way people
interact towards one another.

The creation of the Internet was a shift in society to form a computer-based way of
life. The Internet has changed many aspects of our life’s, how we communicate;
smartphone, how to get places; GPS, how we even learn, and interact with people,
but the main thing people will look back on was the gap it closed between to far
away distances. No longer do distances inter fear with the communication and
sharing of information between to remote locations The Internet allows people to
connect to anywhere in the in world and obtain information at the touch of a
fingertip, this revolutionized the way the entire world communicates with one
another.
With information so readily available all over the world people are able to be
connected and learn at far more rapid rate. I think that technology will continue
progress at an exponential rate. The technology that immerses from this digital age
may be starting the spree of a new age/era.
