About Synodic Astrology & Synodic Cycles

Synodic cycles are created when two (or more) planets align in their orbits around the Sun. The synodic cycle theme,
defined by the planets involved and the star alignments at the time, will unfold until the two planets align again, marking
the completion of the synodic cycle and the beginning of the next one.

There are many synodic cycles with unique astrological themes occurring simultaneously creating a harmonic symphony of
creative unfoldment in consciousness. Synodic cycles can be thought of as longer-term underlying currents, much like the
backdrop chorus of a symphony, providing the underlying astrological context guiding our evolution.

Learn the basics about Synodic Astrology & Synodic Cycles.

Saturn & Pluto

A Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle, in general, will be about societal structures of consciousness and how we learn about
responsible use of power. It will be about our administrative systems governing the use of power. These cycles can also
initiate a dismantling or destructive process of long-standing established administrative constructs and systems of belief so
that we can evolve our societal structures. In the process, this can articulate as power struggles, wars and the like; but
Saturn and Pluto will ultimately demand we take responsibility for the discord and destruction we have created.

The Saturn Pluto Synodic Cycles:

The length of each synodic cycle varies due to Pluto's increase in orbital speed as Pluto approaches its Perihelion (1990)
and then decreases afterward. The faster Pluto moves, the longer it takes for Saturn to catch up to Pluto each time Saturn
orbits the Sun, thus the longer the cycle and the further the synods are spaced in ecliptical longitude. This can be seen in
the star chart below, which shows the location of each Saturn-Pluto synod (the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto looking
from the Sun).

A few primary historical events are present in the context of the Saturn-Pluto synodic cycles starting from 1851. Keep in
mind that surrounding each synodic (heliocentric) phase shift, Saturn and Pluto are retrograding from Earth's (geocentric)
perspective, thus often stretching the synods, squares and midpoints out over a few years—just like is occurring now with

our 2010 square. (Although our current Saturn-Pluto synodic square occurs on June 11, 2010, the geocentric square begins
on November 11, 2009 and continues through August 2010.)

The synod (heliocentric conjunction) of two planets starts a new synodic cycle theme (similar to a New Moon in a lunar
cycle). As the new theme emerges on the synod, theme engages our creative process throughout the first quarter of the
cycle. A "stimulus to action" builds as we approach the first 90° square; and action then ensues as we then enter the second
quarter of action and involvement. The synodic opposition (180° point in the cycle) occurs when the two planets are on
opposite sides of the Sun in their orbits. This is the climax point in the cycle, the point of "vision and realization." A "need
to change." builds as we approach the last 270° square. This is a point in the cycle where the stage props for that cycle are
then dismantled and where facades are removed as we enter the last quarter of the cycle, integrating and clearing the way
for the next cycle to emerge.

As we explore the synodic cycles below, keep in mind that we are not looking at mere isolated planetary aspects; but that
we are exploring complete cycles in which there are squares oppositions, etc. that create transitions in the cycle; and that
one cycle weaves into the next in a continuing spiral of growth. Each Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle will begin with a unique
and underlying theme defined by the star alignments at the time of the synod, and by other compounding alignments. Also
keep in mind that there are many other interweaving synodic cycles that may augment the events surrounding the four
primary phase transitions in each Saturn-Pluto cycle. Those that are significant are mentioned in the text below.

Sept 23, 1851 - Saturn Pluto Synod

Geocentric conjunction: 3 triggers - June 6, 1851 through February 10, 1852
Location: 06° 51' Aries - compounded cycles with Pallas & Uranus:
Pluto was south of the ecliptic in Cetus, just past Kaitain of Pisces).
Primary stars: Mira of Cetus; Tyl of Draco; the Fornax-A Spiral Galaxy; and Mesartim of Aries.

Saturn-Pluto Synod 1851

This was a compounded event involving Uranus, Pallas and Jupiter:

A Uranus-Pluto synod occurred on December 25, 1850, several months before and within a degree of the Saturn-Pluto
synod.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

The Saturn-Pluto synod occurs opposite Jupiter. This means that the Jupiter-Pluto and Jupiter-Saturn synodic mid-points
also occur at the same time as the Saturn-Pluto synod. The dates for these midpoints are:

August 26, 1851 - Jupiter-Saturn mid-point

September 8, 1851 - Jupiter-Pluto mid-point

The asteroid Pallas also creates synods with Saturn, Pluto and Uranus as well; and a synodic mid-point with Jupiter. The
dates for these events are:

September 15, 1851 - Pallas-Saturn

September 16, 1851 - Pallas-Pluto
September 20, 1851 - Pallas-Jupiter Mid-point
September 26, 1851 - Pallas-Uranus

The Saturn-Uranus synod doesn't occur until a year later on December 25, 1851 (about 3 degrees past the Saturn-Pluto
synod.

The Saturn-Pluto-Pallas Synodic Theme (abbreviated): Tyl of Draco (along with Nodus Secundus—Delta Draco) makes
the convolution in the Dragon’s neck, here concerning primordial transformation of the soul through the experience of
human life. Tyl is the human cry at a very fundamental level. Tyl is the cry of desire for one's physical needs to be met, for
one's truth to be heard, and for one's dreams to be realized. Tyl is the burning cry in the initiatory fires of life. Tyl asks us
hear the human cry; to not deny, squelch or pretend all is well in either denial or uppity arrogance. Tyl asks us to be real, to
honor the pain we feel, to honor our humanness, and to have compassion for the struggle of others.

Mira of Cetus is the breathing neck of the technobureaucratic monster created by collective human consciousness. Mira
expounds upon the theme of Kaitain, the psychic-emotional knot of entanglement, and is of dramatics and of uprisings.
Fornax, the furnace, lying under Aires provides the transformative heat and fire while in the initiatory process common to
sidereal Aries—it ultimately supporting a new birth from the Tyl's anguishing cry.

Sharatan Mesartim and Hamal of Aries form the head of the ram. Sharatan and Mesartim, the mouth of the ram, are
portents of an applied force to change, new beginnings, adventure, transmutation and great rewards; but they are of
opportunities that may quickly open and close, and thus require our immediate response to grasp them without hesitation
when they occur. Sharatan provides a sign that it is a time to create change.

In the U.S., in the mid-1800's, slave labor was used in agriculture, especially on plantations and was increasingly used in
mining, shipbuilding and other industries. However, there was deep social discontent about slavery for quite some and that

it was not healthy for the nation. By 1860, almost half a million people, roughly 31% of the total population of Virginia,
were enslaved.

1850, September - The "Great Slavery Debate" began in the U.S. (leading into the Sept 23, 1851 synod). An intricate
package of five bills called "The Compromise of 1850" was passed in the U.S. in September 1850, defusing a four-year
confrontation between the slave states of the South and the free states of the North. (Wikipedia) Although intended to
alleviate the slave debate, The U.S. Civil War eventually broke out, which occurred in the first quarter action phase of this
synodic cycle.

The slavery issue and the following Civil War is fitting to this compounded Pallas-Saturn-Pluto-Uranus synod:

Saturn-Pluto: Administration controlling power:

Uranus: radical change, breaking the conformity of the past.
Pallas, the female warrior: judgment, standoffs, sidetaking in its lower octave; and in its higher octave - intelligent creative
solution beyond the duality of sidetaking.

We can see how this theme unfolds throughout this synodic cycle.

90° Synodic Square: November 29, 1858 (stimulus to action)

(Geocentric square: three triggers - September 7, 1858 through May 29, 1859)

1860 - In the presidential election of 1860, the Republican Party, led by Abraham Lincoln, had campaigned against the
expansion of slavery beyond the states in which it already existed. The Republican victory in that election resulted in seven
Southern states declaring their secession from the Union even before Lincoln took office on March 4, 1861. Both the
outgoing and incoming US administrations rejected the legality of secession, considering it rebellion. (Wikipedia)

1861 - The U.S. Civil War began on April 12, 1861, when Confederate forces attacked a US military installation at Fort
Sumter in South Carolina. (Wikipedia: American Civil War)

Synodic Mid-point: October 8, 1866 (The climax point in the cycle; of vision and realization)
(Geocentric opposition: February 18, 1866 (Saturn station) through November 1, 1866)

1865, Apr 14 - The assassination of Abraham Lincoln, one of the last major events in the American Civil War (leading into
the Oct 8 1866 synodic-midpoint).

1866 - The Civil War against slavery ends in the U.S. The 13th Amendment is passed abolishing slavery.
This began the "Reconstruction Era" for the U.S, which continued through the 270° Last Quarter square, lasting to 1877.

1868-1870 - The Thirteenth Amendment was followed by the Fourteenth Amendment (civil rights in the states) in 1868,
and Fifteenth Amendment (which banned racial restrictions on voting) in 1870. (Wikipedia)

The American Civil War was the deadliest war in American history, resulting in the deaths of 620,000 soldiers and an
undetermined number of civilian casualties. (Wikipedia)

270° Synodic Square: August 5, 1875 (stimulus for change)

(Geocentric square: three triggers - March 14, 1875 through December 20, 1875)

1876 - Colorado becomes a state. Sioux and Cheyenne warriors annihilate Lieutenant Colonel George Custer and 210 or so
of his Seventh Cavalry at the Little Big Horn River, Montana (June 25, 1876). The U.S. government redraws Indian
reservation boundaries. (World Macrohistory www.fsmitha.com)

1877 - "Reconstruction Era" completes with the "Compromise of 1877," resulting in a unified "United States." (Wikipedia:
The Compromise of 1877)

The social, political, economic and racial issues of the war decisively shaped the reconstruction era that lasted to 1877, and
brought changes that helped make the country a united superpower. (Wikipedia)

May 26, 1883 - Saturn Pluto Synod

Geocentric conjunction: 1 trigger - May 22, 1883

Location: 06° 24 Taurus - compounded cycles with Chiron
Primary Stars: Mirphak of Perseus, Atiks and Zeta Perseus, and the X–Per Neutron Star, which form the foot of Perseus.
(This is just past the Pleiades ~5° sidereal Taurus).

Saturn-Pluto Synod 1883

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): Sidereal Taurus is of Earthy matters: of building, business, construction, the home and
family, property, stability and balance, is fixed in its ways, is industrious, persistence, determined, laborious and of the
bourgeois. Earlier Taurus, where this synod occurs, is of initiative, it is creative and supports the seeding of ideas,
especially those of a business nature that support home and commerce.

This synod lies just past the Pleiades, which imparts a seeding or initiating quality, of getting things going in the physical
and business world, especially that which helps to establishment the administrative and physical logistics that support our
personal lives. In classical astrology, certain alignments with the Pleiades can indicate catastrophic events or blunderings—
a part of the nebulosity surrounding the Pleiades obscuring vision.

Mirphak, a fortuitous star, embodies the totality and success of all that our hero Perseus embodies. Mirphak inspires
responsible action to claim the true gift from the inner refinement we have gained through our past initiatory fires (Aries).
Here we must acknowledge that our trials had to precede stepping forth into a greater fulfillment and our future destiny.

Conjoining Mirphak is the foot of Perseus (created by Atiks, Omi Perseus; Zeta Perseus; and the intense neutron star, X–
Perseus). Zeta and X-Perseus brings a powerful capacity to infuse the spiritual power gained from our initiations in life and
to manifest our longer-term purpose and destiny in the physical world. This point in the ecliptic is one inspiring of bold and
dynamic action.

1882 - Great Britain invades Egypt (leading into the May 26, 1883 synod).

May 26, 1883 Synod occurs

1883 - This was also the time of a progression of new discoveries and breakthroughs (Chiron) regarding communication
and expansion of commerce:
This was the time of Edison, Tesla, T.J.J. See, Westinghouse, George Eastman (Kodak film), and Marconi. Greenwich
Mean Time (GMT) is adopted by the U.S. and time signals were transmitted to all major US cities via telegraph. In 1884,
GMT is adopted universally by the International Meridian Conference; and the international dateline with global time
zones was formed.
1884 -The Orient Express railway opens between Constantinople and Baghdad.
1885 - Karl Benz (Germany) develops an internal combustion engine.

1889 - North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Washington became states.

90° Synodic Square: August 11, 1890 (stimulus to action)

(Geocentric square: one trigger - September 4, 1890

1890 - Idaho becomes the 43rd state. Wyoming's denial to state hood because it allows women to vote is overcome.
Wyoming becomes the 44th state.
1890 - The U.S. Congress creates Yosemite National Park.

1890 - Hawaii's King Kalakaua dies and is succeeded by his brilliant sister, Liliuokalani. Liliuokalani translated The
Kumulipo, a Polynesian epic poem about the creation and evolution of life on Earth, in which humans are acknowledged to
be integral with the Earth, the land, and all living creatures—one wholistic system—providing a biologically-ecologically
wholistic view of life. See The Myth of Haumea.

1890 - Germany's Social Democratic Party advocates the 8-hour day, prohibition of child labor under the age of 14;
government regulation of working conditions, the abolition of laws that restrict the right of people to assemble, direct
suffrage by secret ballot, the election of judges, an end to laws that put women at a disadvantage as compared with men, a
graduated income and property tax, free medical attention, a people's militia for defense, secularized public education and
no public money supporting religious institutions. (World Macrohistory www.fsmitha.com)

1893 - New Zealand is the first country to give women the right to vote in national elections. Colorado becomes the first
state in U.S. to allow women to vote in state elections.

Saturn and Uranus begin a new synodic cycle (opposite Pholus) on April 24, 1897, before the Saturn-Pluto synodic
midpoint in December of the following year. This occurs in the intense first few degrees of early Scorpio (3° 12' Sco)
(regarding the use of primal forces governing life and death). Geocentric conjunctions occur from January 6, 1897 through
Sept 9, 1897. (This certainly marks a turning of events in what started as a stable and progressive stellar theme.)

1897 - Over 300,000 people perish in Spain's "Reconstruction Policy" in Cuba. Hostility toward Spain rises in the U.S.

1898 - The Spanish-American War begins: Spain fails militarily. Spain refuses an ultimatum and the U.S. declares war in
April. On May 1, the U.S. Navy, at the Battle of Manila Bay, defeats a Spanish squadron. On June 10, U.S. Marines land at
Guantanamo. On July 1 the Battle of San Juan Hill takes place, with 1,200 U.S. and 593 Spanish casualties.

1898 - A force of 8,200 British and 17,600 Sudanese troops, under British command, win against more numerous Dervish
warriors, at the battle of Omdurman, in the Sudan. The British lose 48 people. An estimated 5,000 Dervish are taken
prisoner and 10,000 are killed. (World Macrohistory www.fsmitha.com)

1898 The bubonic plague hits China and India eventually killing about twelve million people. The plague began in the
Yunnan province in China in 1855, in the first quarter of the compounded Saturn-Uranus-Pluto synod cycle of 1851.
(Remember "primal forces"—Saturn-Uranus synod early sidereal Scorpio.)

Synodic Mid-point: December 5, 1898 (The climax point in the cycle; of vision and realization)
(Geocentric opposition: one trigger - December 6, 1898) (a geocentric-heliocentric synchronization)

Chiron and Uranus also begin a new synodic cycle within days of the Saturn-Pluto 180° synodic midpoint.

1898 - The Spanish-American War ends in December: A formal peace treaty is signed in Paris. The United States acquires
all of Spain's colonies, including the Philippines, Guam and Puerto Rico. Cuba is recognized as independent.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

1899 - Germany acquires islands in the northern Mariana and Caroline Islands. A treaty is signed in Berlin recognizing
Western Samoa as a German colony, with Samoa under U.S. control, and Tonga under British control.

1899 - The U.S. McKinley administration attempts to establish through trade with China—the Open Door policy. Russia
and Japan voice displeasure. Angry China men take up terrorism (the Boxers) attacking and killing Christian missionaries
with government approval.

1900 - The U.S., Japan, and European nations send military forces to China to rescue people and to put down the Boxer
Rebellion, with many innocent Chinese injured in the process. (World Macrohistory www.fsmitha.com)

1901, Sep 14 - McKinley is assassinated. Vice President Theodore Roosevelt becomes president.

1901-03 - New developments continue: William Harley and Arthur Davidson build the first Harley-Davidson prototype in
1901. In 1903, The Wright brothers make their first engine powered air flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The
Norwegian engineer, J.W. Elling builds a gas turbine engine that produces a greater thrust than a fan-like propeller.

1904 - Tensions rise between Britain and Russia while Russia is at war with Japan. Germans in their colony of South West
Africa combat another rebellion by machine-gunning people and poisoning their wells. 1905 - The Russian Bloody Sunday
occurs in St. Petersburg. The United States mediates the war between Japan and Russia.

1905 - Albert Einstein (age 26), in Bern Switzerland, publishes several papers forming the "special theory of relativity."

1905 - Norway, peacefully, gains its independence from Sweden.

1907 - Britain signs a treaty with Russia. Russia gives controlling influence over Afghanistan and Tibet, and divides Iran
between Britian and Russia. "The Triple Entente" is formed between Britain, Russia and France, to Germany's dismay.

270° Synodic Square: September 1, 1907 (stimulus for change)

(Geocentric square: three triggers -April 14, 1907 through January 18, 1908
Saturn also conjoins the Centaur Nessus and the dwarf planet Eris, the Great Disrupter on the cusp of sidereal Pisces. This
synodic square also occurred as the Moon conjoined Pluto (geocentrically).

NOTE: The Saturn-Nessus-Eris square to Pluto (both heliocentric and geocentric) clearly suggests a significant and
upsetting (Eris) turning.

The Lunar Cycle (Aug 8, 1907) in which this synod occurred, also involved a dominant stellium of planets including
Makemake, Pluto, Vesta, Neptune, Pallas, Mercury-Jupiter, Venus, Ceres, the Sun-Moon, Quaoar, Asbolus and Ixion—all
surrounding the North Lunar Node. Geocentrically, Pluto and Vesta (early sidereal Gemini) squared Saturn, Eris, and
Nessus (early sidereal Pisces); with the latter trine to a tight Mercury-Jupiter conjunction (early sidereal Cancer). The New
Moon was opposite retrograde Chiron, which means a new Earth-Chiron synodic cycle also began on the New Moon (latter
sidereal Capricorn).

*** 1907, October - The economic "Panic of 1907" begins in the U.S.: The New York Stock Exchange fell close to 50%
from its peak the previous year. Production falls 11 percent and unemployment rises 8 percent from under 3 percent. There
were numerous runs on banks and trust companies. The panic eventually spread throughout the nation when many state and
local banks and businesses entered into bankruptcy. Primary causes of the run include a retraction of market liquidity by a
number of New York City banks and a loss of confidence among depositors, exacerbated by unregulated side bets at bucket
shops. Banking is rescued by the financial interventions of Mr. J.P. Morgan, who many distrust and disdain....(Wikipedia:

Feb 27, 1915 - Saturn Pluto Synod

Geocentric conjunction: 3 triggers - October 4, 1914 through May 19, 1915
Location: 07° 35' Gemini (occurs on Saturn's Perihelion Feb 9, 1915)
Pluto, just south of the ecliptic crosses the Sword of Orion, which lies just past the "Gate of Man" (5° Gemini) and
Betelgeuse of Orion.
Primary stars: Tejat of Gemini (foot of Castor); Nebula IC444; Gamma Monoceros

Saturn-Pluto Synod 1915

The Saturn-Pluto synod coincided with a Mars-Uranus synod (occurring in a different part the ecliptic).

Geocentrically: Uranus, Mars Mercury Pallas, Jupiter Sun, Chiron, Ceres, Eris, and Nessus created a stellium on one side
of the ecliptic - all opposite Juno (asteroid of diplomacy and relations.

NOTE: There are several factors suggesting a significant perhaps intense cycle: The synod occurs on Saturn's Perihelion; it
occurs just past the "Gate of Man" (one node of the galactic equatorial axis of Earth's Precessional Cross); the coinciding
Mars-Uranus synod; and the geocentric stellium opposing Juno.

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): Tejat, Eta Gemini, Dirah (Mu), and the large emission nebula IC443/444 create the foot of
Castor of the Gemini Twins. Tejat, Dirah and IC 444 will make visible that which has been suppressed, oppressed, hidden
in the closet, but destined to be seen. Alignments with the foot of Castor indicate that it is time to come out of hiding, to
become visible, to stand forth in the limelight, and to make self visible, available, and approachable. This can also indicate
the need to emerge from our own mental obscuration and illusions. Tejat may indicate it is time to claim one's role in the
physical world, and to take the steps at hand that are required for the physical unfoldment of what we want and for our
participation in the world. It is time to do what is required. Tejat can also indicate those who are physically marked in some
way: including birth marks, genetic marks, or other unique features including tattoos, brands, and especially jewels; or it
may reveal marks or signs indicating it is time for demonstrable action.

As Tejat brings to the surface that which has been suppressed, we may see parts of our selves that seem rather dark and
opposing to our emergence—the fears, hesitancies, and blockages within our selves that we must step through into our
paths of fulfillment in the world. Tejat asks that we be willing to walk through the shadows of self to claim our power and
place in the physical world. The more we express the truth of who we are openly in the world the less forces attempting to
suppress that truth have any power.

Pluto on Orion's sword: The Sword of Orion rises from Betelgeuse, which marks Orion's right shoulder. The upraised
sword lies just under the "Gate of Man." Betelgeuse embodies the theme of a male warrior, is of a kingly nature,
authoritative and is of human resourcefulness in action. Betelgeuse inspires a sense of responsibility to dynamically
response to whatever is occurring in the moment. Betelgeuse will challenge existing systems or authorities to cut through
whatever is in the way. Orion in general, is of

Orion is highly creative, enterprising, entrepreneurial and architectural, often of grandiose projects, and dynamic in
physical action. Orion can also be impious and impetuous, often acting autonomously with their own agendas and with
disregard for others' directives.

1914 - The "Great World War" starts (leading into the Feb 27, 1915 synod).
(Aug 1, 1914 - Nov 11, 1918) (World War I Timeline)

Feb 27, 1915 - The Synod

1917-1922 - The First Red Scare occurs after the Bolshevik Russian Revolution of 1917 and toward the end of the First
World War. "In United States history, the term Red Scare denotes two distinct periods of strong anti-communism: the First
Red Scare, from 1917 to 1920, and the Second Red Scare, from 1947 to 1957. The Scares were characterized by the fear
that communism would upset the capitalist social order in the United States; the First Red Scare was about worker
revolution and political radicalism. The Second Red Scare was focused on (national and foreign) communists infiltrating
the federal government." (Wikipedia)

1921 - Marxist Russia signs trade agreements with Britain, Germany, Norway and Austria. The Communist Party
dramatically expands.

90° Synodic Square: September 7, 1922

1922 - July-August - Italy strikes out against fascist violence (leading into the 90° square)
1922 - September 7 - The 90° Synodic Square: September 7, 1922
1922, Sept - Radio Moscow begins transmitting to influence the masses in the Soviet Union.
1922, Sept-Oct - Benito Mussolini marches on Rome and by October they succeed in seizing power and begin eliminating
the political opposition. The Italian government resigns under pressure from fascists and Mussolini.
1922, Oct 28, Benito Mussolini takes control of Italy's government and becomes premier of Italy.

1920's - With the Great War over, the American Roaring Twenties occurs, a peak social renaissance in the American
culture, which brought the rise of film, radio, and eventually television; It also spread to London, Paris and Berlin.

***1929, Oct 29 - Black Tuesday hits The Great Depression begins as Pluto crosses its North Node, and as we approach
the synodic midpoint of this Saturn-Pluto cycle. "The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in
the decade preceding World War II. The timing of the Great Depression varied across nations, but in most countries it
started in about 1929 and lasted until the late 1930s or early 1940s. It was the longest, most widespread, and deepest
depression of the 20th century... The depression originated in the United States, starting with the stock market crash of
October 29, 1929 (known as Black Tuesday), but quickly spread to almost every country in the world." (Wikipedia: The
Great Depression)

NOTE: Also of special interest: Black Tuesday occurred and the Great Depression began within days of the 270° square of
the Saturn-Pholus / Eris synodic cycle. (Heliocentric: Saturn and Pholus conjoin and both square Eris; i.e., the 270° square
of the Saturn-Eris synodic cycle and the the 270° square of the Pholus-Eris synodic cycle coincide). This is far more potent
than Pluto just crossing its North Node. Of course we were unaware of Eris at the time, but this adds addition insight into
this drastic turn of events and into the nature of Eris. (More about Eris: the Great Disrupter) Also to note: Saturn's North
Node and Pholus's Perihelion conjoin (within 1°) in the last degree of sidereal Gemini, conjoining Pollux of the Twins; and
these are just a few degrees from Pluto's North Node conjoining Castor (The twins being of commerce...). In addition,
Pallas and Uranus also created a synod, just a few degrees past Eris. All of this is certainly worth an in-depth exploration,
however, since this article is about the Saturn-Pluto cycle, I will not digress further here. This is an excellent example
however, (like the Saturn-Uranus synod of April 24, 1897 occurring before the Saturn-Pluto synodic mid-point in the
previous cycle) revealing how other significant synodic events can create a drastic turn in the flow of events.

Aug 1930 - Pluto crosses its North Node

Pluto's North Node lies at 25° 18 sidereal Gemini, exactly conjoining Castor of the Gemini Twins.

Synodic Mid-point: July 30, 1931 (Geocentric opposition: February 17, 1931 through Dec 13, 1931)
* This synodic mid-point conjoins Pluto's Nodes (Pluto-North Node opp Saturn on Pluto's South Node).

1931 - Hitler’s Nazi Party rises to power.

NOTE: Remember Tejat as the brand / those who are marked, and Hitler's Swastika; and also Pluto crossing Orion's Sword
and Orion's impetuous nature and propensity for grandiose undertakings; and now with Pluto crossing its north node - an
orbital point of "directed action" in Pluto's energetic.

270° Synodic Square: February 13, 1940 (Geocentric: August 14, 1939 through March 26, 1940)

Saturn and Nessus are both square to Pluto: The Saturn-Nessus synod occurs on January 11, 1940, just before the Saturn-
Pluto square. Jupiter joins the scene also in mid-1940, first to create a synod with Nessus; and then with Saturn (starting a
new Jupiter-Saturn synodic cycle) on November 15, 1940

***1939 - World War II starts (1939-1945) (leading into the 270°synodic square) (World War II Timeline)
The War starts as Germany invades Poland on September 1, 1939. Weeks later the Soviet Union invades Poland.
1940 - Germany then declares war with France and then England; the war quickly spreads world wide.

December 17 and December 22 respectively.

1941-1942 - WW II, the German Army and the Holocaust is in full force.

April 21, 1941 - The Jupiter-Uranus Synod

March 25, 1942 - The Saturn-Uranus Synod
1942, April - The U.S. bombs Tokyo and Yokohama

***1944, June 6 - D-Day; The Allied invasion of Normandy begins.

"The Normandy Landings were the landing operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy, also known as "Operation
Neptune" and "Operation Overlord," during World War II. The landings commenced on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 (D-Day),
beginning at 6:30 (UTC+2). In planning, D-Day was the term used for the day of actual landing, which was dependent on
final approval. The assault was conducted in two phases: an air assault landing of 24,000 American, British, Canadian and
Free French airborne troops shortly after midnight, and an amphibious landing of Allied infantry and armored divisions on
the coast of France commencing at 6:30. There were also subsidiary 'attacks' mounted under the codenames Operation
Glimmer and Operation Taxable to distract the German forces from the real landing areas. The operation was the largest
amphibious invasion of all time, with 175,000 troops landing on 6 June 1944. 195,700 allied naval and merchant navy
personnel in over 5,000 ships were involved. (Wikipedia: D-day)

D-day, which marked a primary turn of events in the World War occurred in the crescendo leading into the 270° Saturn-
Neptune synodic square (Oct 2, 1944); the 90° Saturn-Eris square (Nov 13, 1944); and the Neptune-Eris 180°synodic mid-
point July 27, 1945 (i.e., Saturn T-square Neptune and Eris).

***This last event (the Neptune-Eris 180°synodic mid-point) includes Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune, which lie opposite
Eris, and which begin a new compounded synodic cycle (Chiron-Neptune: July 16, 1945; Jupiter-Neptune: Sept 7, 1945;
and Jupiter-Chiron: Nov 21, 1945). This is of specific interest because of the current (2009) Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune
compounded synod (and geocentric tri-fold conjunction). A Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction is a rather rare event; and
that two consecutive Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunctions occur is extremely rare. This tri-fold conjunction will not occur
again until 2239, and it will not occur as a pair, like is occurring now (1945-2009).

1945, June 26 - The United Nations Charter is signed.

1945, July 24 - US. President Truman asks the USSR for help against Japan.
1945, Aug 6, - The Atomic bomb is dropped on Hiroshima.
1945, Aug 8, - 120,000 Russian troops invaded Manchuria and Korea.
1945, Sept 9, - US accepts Japanese surrender in Korea.

"In 1945 the war ends with the Soviet Union and the United States subsequently emerging as the world's superpowers,
setting the stage for the Cold War. The United Nations was formed in the hope of preventing another world conflict."

Aug 22, 1947 - Saturn Pluto Synod

Geocentric conjunction: 1 trigger - Aug 10, 1947
Location: 18° 49' Cancer
Primary stars: Acubens of Cancer; Zeta Hydra, Dubhe of Ursa Major. This is also the exalted location in the ecliptic for
Pluto.

Saturn-Pluto Synod 1947

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): A multifarious source of destruction: The Great Bear, Ursa Major, lies north of the Lion, but
also extends west over sidereal Cancer, and slightly east of Leo, just into the cusp of sidereal Virgo. Ursa Major’s wide
variety of stars fall into the ecliptic throughout these two signs. The Stars of the Great Bear are associated with the global
scene and world powers. Dubhe, Alpha Ursa, embodies the pursuit for a greater vision beyond the accepted political-
religious dogmas of the human world that keep humanity in darkness and delusion; and against the controlling global
forces perpetuating that dogmatic rule. At a personal level, Dubhe asks us to do all we can to achieve the greater vision that
we hold for the unfoldment of our lives—for the true nourishment, fulfillment, and freedom we seek. Dubhe asks us to
emerge from the collective and our own personal dogmas (our belief structures) and our limiting life patterns that keep us
bound in life scenarios that are less than those we truly want. Dubhe supports us to strive for a new and better future rather
than merely staying reactive to the limitations we have already created and reinforce with our existing beliefs.

Acubens, Alpha Cancer, indicates entrapment in dogma. This can be the current political / religious beliefs of the times, as
well as that created by our personal belief structures—the ideas we have about our lives and experiences we have in our
lives. Acubens indicates a tenacious hold and stubborn resistance to release the patterns we hold that keep us entrapped in
our limiting life scenarios.

Zeta Hydra lies immediately south of Acubens. Delta through Zeta Hydra and Pulsar CP0834 (which conjoins Gianfar of
Draco, the poisoned place) create Hydra's head. Zeta Hydra and surrounding stars indicate a multifarious undermining
source of destruction (every time Hercules took off one the Hydra's heads, it immediately grew another). The conjunction
of Acubens and Zeta Hydra reveals that the repetitive undermining experiences in our lives are manifest from our own
tenacious belief structures.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

Associated Quasar 3C206 of Hydra, one of the brightest & closest quasars, suggest that although our dogmatic beliefs can
take rather strange and unexplainable forms, they are not outside the realm of our own creation. They are however laser-
like in their power. Quasar 3C206 reminds us to not be naïve to the powerful momentum of our beliefs and the
undermining behavioral patterns they can create. This quasar tells us to not turn our backs on that momentum, to know it
may take more than one attempt to overcome our dogma's hideous tenacity.

These three conjoining stars reveal that any experiences that repetitively undermine our greater fulfillment are due to the
very dogmatic beliefs we hold crystallized within. They reveal that we must eradicate those beliefs along with the
willingness to fight to achieve a greater vision for the evolutionary freedom and fulfillment we seek. Ultimately, any
perpetuated undermining experiences occurring at a global level or in our personal lives serve to catalyze a breakthrough in
human conscious, specifically to emerge from blinding following mass dogma that keeps us bound in human darkness and
delusion. This area of the zodiak between the Scarab (or Crab) and head of Lion is where we find the free-thinkers willing
to step from mass darkness and delusion, those willing to break the bounds of mass consensus and strive for a greater
vision of cultural freedom.

(Primary event in this synodic cycle: The Vietnam War and the cultural revolt against it.

1947 July 26 - President Truman's National Security Act creates US Department of Defense
1947, Nov 14, - U.N. Resolution to remove troops from Korea after national elections.
1948, Feb 8, - North Korean People's Army (NK) officially activated.
1948, April 8, - President Truman orders withdrawal of US troops from Korea.
1948, Aug 15, - The Republic of Korea proclaimed.
1948, Sept 9, - Democratic People's Republic of Korea claims jurisdiction over all Korea.
1949, June 29, - Last US troops leave South Korea.
1949 September - Soviets test their first A-bomb; the arms race begins.
1950, June 25 - North Korean People's Army invades South Korea; the Korean War begins.
1950-1953 - The Korean War

1950 - Prelude to the Vietnam war: "The United States entered the war to prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam
as part of their wider strategy of containment. Military advisors arrived beginning in 1950. In January 1950, the communist
nations, led by the People's Republic of China (PRC), recognized the Viet Minh's Democratic Republic of Vietnam as the
government of Vietnam. Non-Communist nations recognized the French-backed State of Vietnam in Saigon led by former
Emperor Bao Dai the following month. The outbreak of the Korean War in June 1950 convinced many Washington
policymakers that the war in Indochina was an example of communist expansionism directed by the Kremlin. PRC military
advisors began assisting the Viet Minh in July 1950. PRC weapons, expertise, and laborers transformed the Viet Minh from
a guerrilla force into a regular army. In September, the U.S. created a Military Assistance and Advisory Group (MAAG) to
screen French requests for aid, advise on strategy, and train Vietnamese soldiers.

U.S. involvement escalated in the early 1960s, with U.S. troop levels tripling in 1961 and tripling again in 1962. U.S.
combat units were deployed beginning in 1965. Involvement peaked in 1968 at the time of the Tet Offensive. After this,
U.S. ground forces were withdrawn as part of a policy called Vietnamization. Despite the Paris Peace Accords, signed by
all parties in January 1973, fighting continued." (Wikipedia: Vietnam War)

90° Synodic Square: March 16, 1956 (stimulus to action / action initiates)

1959, September 26 - Vietnam war begins

COMPOUNDED Synodic Mid-point: November 30, 1965 (Geocentric opposition: April 23, 1965 through February 20,
1966)
Thus we have a Uranus-Pluto Synod opposite Saturn. The alignment is Saturn-Sun-Uranus-Pluto. (Uranus is 0°16' to its
synod with Pluto.)

Uranus and Pluto begin a new ~138-year synodic cycle on Jan 7, 1966; completing the Uranus-Pluto cycle that began on
December 25, 1850 (and which synchronized with the September 23, 1851 Saturn-Pluto synod). (The geocentric Uranus-
Pluto conjunction ran from October 9, 1965 through June 30, 1966.) This is also significant, because Uranus and Pluto will
make their 90° synodic square on November 30, 2013; with a their lengthy geocentric square occurring from June 24, 2012
through March 16, 2015.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

The Uranus-Pluto synod occurs at 20° 06' Leo (opp Saturn at 20° 06' Aquarius). The Uranus-Pluto synod occurs in the hind
of the Lion (between toxic Zosma and Denebola, the tail of the Lion and conjoins Mizar of Ursa Major. Mizar embodies
raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but for its proper expression, we
must apply it with creative vision. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive
tendencies, and the fear to create lest it may result in destruction. Here we learn the nature of such volatile forces. Mizar,
with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres....

This Uranus-Pluto synodic theme thus becomes a dominant energetic in the Saturn-Pluto synodic mid-point.

*1965 - Vietnam war peaks at this compounded synodic mid-point.

1965, March 8, - 3,500 U.S. Marines arrive in Vietnam - the first ground force from a foreign power since the war between
the Vietnamese and the French.
1965, July 2 - U.S. President Johnson announces an increase in US military forces in Vietnam to 125,000; and raises the
monthly draft call from 17,000 to 35,000.
1965, October - Anti-war marches occur in various locations around the U.S. In Berkeley CA, a march intending to pass
into Oakland to an army base leaves campus, fills Telegraph avenue from curb to curb and stretches one mile from Ashby
Avenue back to the campus. It is stopped at the Oakland border by a line of Oakland police.
1965, Nov 30 - Synodic Mid-point
*1966, Jan 8 - The U.S. launches its largest Vietnam operation yet, "Operation Crimp," with 8,000 troops and tanks. The
purpose is to clear away the Viet Cong and capture their base near the district of Chu Chi, just north of Saigon. The area is
razed and no Viet Cong base found.
*1966, Jan 11 - Uranus-Pluto Synod (A new ~138-year synodic cycle begins.)

The peak of the Vietnam war is fitting to the climax of the Saturn-Pluto synodic cycle, with Pluto conjoining fiery Mizar;
AND the intense protesting and massive revolt against this war occurring at the same time is fitting to the Uranus-Pluto
synod opposite Saturn.

270° Synodic Square: April 18, 1974 (Geocentric square: September 14, 1973 through May 28, 1974)

1973-1975 - Americans exit Vietnam

1975, April 30 - Vietnam war ends

Between 1965 and 1975, the United States spent $111 billion on the Vietnam war (equivalent to $686 billion in 2008
dollars). More than 3 million Americans served in Vietnam. By war's end, 58,193 soldiers were killed, more than 150,000
were wounded, and at least 21,000 were permanently disabled. Approximately 830,000 Vietnam veterans suffered post-
traumatic symptoms. An estimated 125,000 Americans fled to Canada to avoid the Vietnam draft, and approximately
50,000 American servicemen deserted. More than 3 million people fled from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, many as "boat
people". Most Asian countries were unwilling to accept refugees. Since 1975, an estimated 1.4 million refugees from
Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries have been resettled to the United States. Ref: Wikipedia: Vietnam War.

Dec 24, 1982 - Saturn Pluto Synod (Our current cycle 1982-2020)
Geocentric conjunction: 1 trigger - Nov 7, 1982
Location: 02° 36' Libra
Primary stars: Izar of Bootes, just past Spica and Archturus; at the upper thighs of the Virgin, under the skirt of the Virgin.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

Saturn-Pluto Synod 1982

Synodic Theme: (full text) This synod occurs in early sidereal Libra (2° 36') under the skirt of the Virgin and conjoins Izar
of Bootes. IIzar resides on the loins of Bootes, sometimes considered his loin-cloth.

The first half of sidereal Libra, which I dub "Under the Skirt of the Virgin," is about cover-ups, about the veiled or hidden
truth regarding the intimate balance that is essential between the feminine and masculine principles. It also implies
political-religious role in this obscuration of truth—whether deliberately created by the political-religious powers that be,
or simply being inherent due to how religious belief structures have evolved over time. This also suggests a veiled cover-up
or loss of awareness regarding the true nature of the birth and lineage of souls.

The first few degrees of early sidereal Libra (within the upper thighs of the Virgin) is about intimate support, sex and
sexuality; it is also about environment, specifically about environmental support that ensures the healthy evolution and
freedom of souls. The veiled nature of our current mythological image (under the skirt) also indicates the suppression of,
denial about, or instilling guilt, shame, or wrongfulness regarding sexuality and intimacy; and about the importance of our
relationship with the Earth (environment). It is also about births and blood lines; and about creating and ensuring
harmonious environments and mutually compatible relations that support our psychophysiological (mental-emotional-
physical) wellbeing and the healthy unfoldment of human consciousness. "Intimate support" and "environmental support"
are key phrases here, this includes the environmental conditions of the Earth, our personal living environments, as well as a
harmonious environment (resonance) in our relations. Thus, art, intimacy, beauty, harmonious relations, and harmonious
environments with the Earth (how we live) are all of significance in creating a nurturing resonance in our lives and in our
society as a whole.

Bootes, the protector and shepherd who stands over the Virgin, embraces the responsibility to provide a safe environment
for the Virgin, for the birth, evolution, and evolutionary fulfillment of souls. In one articulation of the Bootes-Virgin theme,
we have a dramatic, threatening and destructive scenario created by political-religious authoritarian powers that motivate
the twosome away in a pilgrimage to find a safe and appropriate place for a new birth. Beneath the Virgin's legs lies the
benevolent Centaur, teacher of the right way to live, protector of, and leader to, the original cardinal virtues (embodied by
the Southern Cross)—the original purity and innocence of soul's intent and purpose before any incursions taken on
throughout the reincarnational process. Further south lies the keel of Argo Navis—the ship sailing along the galactic
equator, which embodies matters related to ensuring a safe incarnational sojourn for the durative soul, that which exists
before and after this lifetime.

3/19/2020 Synodic Astrology: The Saturn-Pluto Synods: A Historical Exploration 1915-2020

This Saturn-Pluto cycle demands we address the issue of imbalance and disharmony between the masculine and feminine
principles and between our selves and our environment—humankind's relation with Earth. It is about the use of power and
the systems of power in regard to how they may or may not server to create a nurturing environment that supports a new
birth in consciousness and the continuing evolution of consciousness.

On the other hand Pluto and Saturn initiates a dismantling or destruction of long-standing established religious-political
constructs and systems of belief that maintain the imbalance between the masculine and feminine and the subsequent
discord in our relationship to the environment and life that imbalance creates. It raises issues that must be addressed
regarding our past / future support. It opens up issues regarding sexual suppression and discord, and the resultant
abomination between the masculine and feminine principles; perpetuating the awry use of power. Ultimately, Saturn and
Pluto demand we take responsibility for the discord and destruction we have created, and that we reestablish equipoise in
our relations and in the administration of our environment (the upper thighs of the Virgin in early sidereal Libra). I use the
word "environment" here in a broad inclusive manner; the embracing environmental system in which we evolve on Earth.
this latter point is something to keep in mind as we move into the last quarter of the synodic cycle.

1980-1988 - Iran-Iraq War (surrounds the Dec 24, 1982 synod)

1994-1995 - Jupiter, Pluto and Ixion establish a primary synod in December 1994. Pluto is just about to overtake Ixion,
with Pluto less than 1/2 of a degree to Ixion. Pluto and Ixion will create their synod just a few months later in March of
1995. This threesome resides in early sidereal Scorpio (~3°), just in front of the Head of the Scorpion.
1995-1996 - The Centaur Nessus creates three synods, first conjoining Ixion in October 1995, and then with Pluto (which
has moved between Ixion and Quaoar in ecliptical longitude) in December of 1995. Nessus then conjoins Quaoar in
February 1996. This also occurs just in front of the Scorpion's head (early sidereal Scorpio).
February 1997 - Pluto and Quaoar create their synod in sidereal Scorpio. These additional events are discussed in: The
Synodic Cycles of Pluto, Ixion and Quaoar: a historical Exploration 1982-2020.

COMPOUNDED Synodic Mid-point: March 30-31, 2002 (20° 50' Taurus-Scorpio) (Geocentric opposition: August 5, 2001

The alignment is Saturn-Mars-Sun-Pluto. This means three events coincide: A Mars-Saturn synod occurs at the same time
as the Saturn-Pluto synodic mid-point, starting a new Mars-Saturn synodic cycle (20° 52' Taurus). The geocentric Mars-
Saturn conjunction occurs on May 4, 2002. A Mars-Pluto synodic mid-point also occurs which is the mid-point of the
current Mars-Pluto cycle, which began on May 28, 2001 (18° 53' Scorpio). This is an extremely potent energetic occurring
in this timeline; and Mars becomes a primary player.

270° Synodic Square: Jun 11, 2010 (Geocentric square: November 15, 2009 through August 21, 2010)

Saturn creates its first geocentric square with Saturn on November 15, 2009. Their second square occurs on January 31,
2010. During this time, the two maintain a very tight orb, of about 1°. In the midst of this period, at the end of 2009, Juno,
asteroid of covenant relations, will make its final square with Pluto during the Pluto station; and at the same time will
oppose Saturn, making a dramatic T-square with Saturn and Pluto on December 28, 2009 through January 1, 2010,
bringing the period of restructuring for relationships to a climatic finale. Pluto is the force that must fire (the harmonic
tension) in this T-square. The third Saturn-Pluto square occurs on August 21, 2010.

The details of the 2009-2010 Saturn-Pluto square are explored in "The Makemake-Saturn-Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter 2008-2011

In the year 2020, three major planetary cycles complete and begin anew, creating a societal reset.

• The Saturn-Pluto synod occurs on January 10, 2020, initiating a new 34-year cycle. This is a compounded synod with
Ceres and Mars.

• The Jupiter-Pluto synod occurs on July 31, 2020, initiating a new 12.5-year cycle. This is also a compounded synod with
the asteroid Pallas.

• The Jupiter-Saturn synod occurs on November 2, 2020, initiating a new 20-year cycle.

Nov 18, 2053 - Saturn Pluto Synod

Location: 17° 55' Aquarius - compounded cycle with Pallas
Primary stars: Zeta Phoenix; Alpha (head) of Hydrus

For those wishing to explore a few Saturn-Pluto cycles

earlier than those presented above (and the Pluto-Eris synod of 1756).

The Cycle of 1750 to 1786

Synod: November 8, 1750 - Saturn-Pluto-Juno
Location: 12° 33' Scorpio
Stars: Al Niyat of Scorpio (the arteries / neurology of the Scorpion that connect Antares, the heart of the Scorpion, with the
Scorpion's head); Rho Ophiuchus; and Han, the knee of Ophiuchus.

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): Taking a political stand; use of power, rebellion....

"The "Seven Years' War" was a major military conflict that lasted from 1754 in North America and 1756 in Europe until
the conclusion of the treaties of Hubertusburg and Paris in 1763. It involved all of the major European powers of the
period." (Note: the Pluto-Eris synod occurs at the end of 1756.) "Because of its global nature, it has been described as the
"first World War". It resulted in some 900,000 to 1,400,000 deaths and significant changes in the balance of power and
territories of several of the participants." (Wikipedia) (This certainly sounds fitting to Eris, the Great Disruptor; and in
cahoots with Pluto!)

* Pluto-Eris Synod - December, 1756 (26° 54' Scorpio) Ras Alhauge, the head of Ophiuchus

December 1756 - The Pluto-Eris Synod lies just before the sting of the Scorpion. Eris is 34° south of the ecliptic in Ara, the
Centuar's Altar. Pluto is just north of the ecliptic and conjoins Ras Alhauge, the head of Ophiuchus. Pluto lies between stars
Sabik of Ophiuchus and Nehushtan of the Serpent. This interesting synod starts a ~360-year Pluto-Eris synodic cycle—a
cycle that completes in 2115 A.D. in late sidereal Aries. Pluto will then be south of the ecliptic in Cetus, a couple of
degrees past Menkar, the jaws of Cetus. Eris will be north of the ecliptic in Aries. (More about Eris.)

Pluto-GEN (Gate of God) - Sept, 1760 (5° sidereal Sag)

90° Synodic Square - November 6, 1760

180° Synodic mid-point - November 27, 1768

Pluto crosses its South Node - November 1770 (25° 18' sidereal Sagittarius)

Pluto's South Node lies under the auspices of Aquila the Eagle and conjoins Deneb Al Okab, the Tail of the Eagle; the
Neutron Star, X-Ray Source SS433 also of Aquila; and the Starseed Ring Nebula Super Nova Remnant M57 of Lyra.

The Cycle of 1786 to 1819

Synod: July 30, 1786 - Saturn-Pluto
Location: 21° 29 Capricorn
Stars: Al Nair of Grus; Rotanev and Sualocin of Delphinus

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): The articulation of wisdom in politics / law (Al Nair, the head of Aaron, the priest-scientist)
— provides opportunity to participate and express from the intelligent maturity and truth of a self-realized and free
conscious being rather than following whatever mass-propaganda happens to be in vogue.

1786, September - The United States Constitution is conceptualized.

"In September 1786, commissioners from five states met in the Annapolis Convention to discuss adjustments to the
Articles of Confederation that would improve commerce. They invited state representatives to convene in Philadelphia to
discuss improvements to the federal government. After debate, the Congress of the Confederation endorsed the plan to
revise the Articles of Confederation on February 21, 1787.[6] Twelve states, Rhode Island being the only exception,
accepted this invitation and sent delegates to convene in May 1787.[6] The resolution calling the Convention specified that
its purpose was to propose amendments to the Articles, but through discussion and debate it became clear by mid-June that,
rather than amend the existing Articles, the Convention decided to propose a rewritten Constitution." (Wikipedia)

1787, September - The United States Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787

1788 - Great Britain established the prison colony of New South Wales in Australia.
1789 - The French Revolution began.

The Cycle of 1819 to 1851

Synod: August 25, 1819 - Saturn-Pluto-Chiron
Location: 4° 00' Pisces
Stars: Scheat of Pegasus; Alpha Sculptoris

Synodic Theme (abbreviated): Water, the essence of sidereal Pisces; life force and what we are doing with it. Sculpting our
lives.

*A Jupiter-Eris synod also occurs at the same time in mid-late Capricorn (Sualocin of Delphinus, Al Nair of Grus)—
curiously at the same location as the previous 1786 Saturn-Pluto synod. Eris is 44° south of the ecliptic, south of Al Nair,
on the border of Grus and Toucan.

A Uranus-Neptune synod occurs early in this cycle on September 28, 1821, in early sidereal Sagittarius, on the Zen
Archer's bow—certainly a very significant synod as well (starting a new 172-year Uranus-Neptune cycle).

The 1819 Saturn-Pluto cycle is interesting to explore because Saturn, Pluto AND Chiron create a compounded synod; and
also because of the Jupiter-Eris synod occurring at the same location as the previous 1786 Saturn-Pluto synod.

This cycle started shortly after the "War of 1812." It was a time of widespread migration and immigration—crossing or
bridging the waters (Chiron early Pisces)—mostly from Europe to North America. "After 1820, immigration gradually
increased (to America). For the first time, federal records, including ship passenger lists, were kept for immigration. Total
immigration for one year in 1820 was 8,385, gradually building to 23,322 by 1830 with 143,000 total immigrating during
the intervening decade. From 1831 to 1840, immigration increased greatly, to 599,000 total, as 207,000 Irish—even before
the Irish Potato Famine (1845-1849)—started to emigrate in large numbers as Britain eased travel restrictions. 152,000
Germans, 76,000 British, and 46,000 French formed the next largest immigrant groups in that decade. From 1841 to 1850,
immigration exploded to 1,713,000 total immigrants..." (Wikipiedia) By 1914, over 30 million Europeans migrated to the
United States. Perhaps the Jupiter-Eris synod played a role to motivate the widespread migration as well, especially in
regard to creating the disruptive stimulus in those countries where exodus was predominant.

In 1819, The modern city of Singapore was established by the "British East India Company."

Another example of a Chiron-water theme during the start of this cycle: Construction of The Erie Canal began in 1817, and
in 1820, The Erie Canal opened, connecting the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps a Jupiter-Eris theme as well;
i.e, digging through land to allow water (and the expansion of commerce) to flow.

The start of this cycle also produced "The Panic of 1819," which was the first major financial crisis in the United States,
which caused widespread foreclosures, bank failures, unemployment, and a slump in agriculture and manufacturing. It

marked the end of the economic expansion that had followed the War of 1812. (Wikipedia) Perhaps this was Jupiter-Eris
related as well.

Uranus-Eris synod - April 1834 on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius (Sadr of Cygnus - heart of the Swan)
