What is a mixture and how can mixtures be separated?

o A mixture is made up of two or more substances
o Classification of a mixtures as solutions, suspensions, and
colloids
o All mixtures can be separated
o The separation of selected types of mixtures using various
techniques
o Use appropriate scientific vocabulary to describe mixtures.
