Melodic Diatonic Triads!

From Digging Deeper Jazz - Video #160

For the novice and intermediate level jazz player, there is no better item to pratice than
Melodic Diatonic Triads. Melodic just means "one note at a time." This device offers us
nicely organized melodies that aren't just great for technique practice, they are great ideas
to use in our improvised solos.

We get a lot of bang for our buck too. A pattern in C major is the same pattern for D minor
dorian, or F lydian, or G mixolydian and so on. Time to fit this into your practice routine!
