An American Family is the first Reality TV show. It showed a life of a family upside
down. Parent divorce, business crisis, homosexual son. Many struggles happen in
the family.

Smother Brothers last only one years because it poked fun at President and Vietnam

12. What is Blue Boy? Why does it appeal to older and younger people?

Blue Boy is a show about Friday and Gannon. They find a boy acting erratically with
his face blue. Then they determine the boy is under the influence of unknown drug.
The show impresses both young and old people.

13. Explain advertisers’ role in changing TV.

Advertisers are pushing the agenda. Their main target is young people who well
educated and have their own decisions.

14. What is the Fairness Doctrine? Explain how it was not used regarding WLBT
and Medgar Evers.

Fairness Doctrine required broadcasters to devote some of their airtime to discussing
controversial matters of public interest, and to air contrasting views regarding those
matters
WLBT refuse any show involve tin civil right and colored people
Medge evers try to get air time on WLBT, but WLBT never accepted. FFC refused to
help.

This show is cute and many situations come to light and are dealt with in a fun and
dignified manner. I enjoy the old style of acting they had back then. Two kids act
very good.
