Cardax ‘Per Door’ License Upgrade Policy

Introduction
On July 10, 2006, GSMS implemented a ‘Per Door’ licensing structure. The following describes the differences
between the pre 10 July 2006 licensing structure and the ‘Per Door’ pricing structure effective 10 July 2006:

Implications for Existing Customers
The following information applies the first time a customer requires a site license change post 10 July 2006, for
example:

Customers with Cardax FT Software Maintenance Agreements

Customers who undertake One-Off Software Upgrades
Customers who need to increase the number of ‘doors’ supported by their license

Calculating the Number of Doors

The previous Cardax FT Command Centre server license was based on a maximum number of doors for each server
option (16, 64, 128, 256 and Unrestricted). When a new license is required after 10 July 2006, existing customers
will need to define the number of doors for their Cardax FT Command Centre license. The license will enable this
number of doors to be configured in the customer’s Cardax FT system.

The maximum number of doors an existing customer can define for the new server license is the sum of:
(Number of Controllers x 8)
Plus
(Number of Commanders x 50)

Customers may choose to define a lower number of doors than the calculated maximum in order to accurately reflect
the number of doors onsite.

The Cardax FT Command Centre Per Door License Upgrade Form located in the Appendices includes a section to
record the number of doors selected. This form should be completed the first time the license is updated following
10 July 2006. Requests should be placed through GSMS Outbound Logistics (see Contact Information at the front of
the Product List).

‘Per Door’ Pricing for Existing Customers

Existing sites have already invested in the purchase of Server Licences based on pre-defined number of doors (16,
64, 128, 256 and unrestricted) and Optional Features (DVR licenses, Cardholder Import etc). As such, existing
customers with site licences issued prior to 10 July 2006 are offered a 40% discount on the Per Door Buy Price
(typically Trade Price less Performance Discount for dealers) which takes effect from 10 July 2006.

The offer for existing customers is as follows:-

– For 64 Door licences, the 40% discount applies until the site license exceeds 64 Doors, at this time the
discount expires and full Per Door cost applies
– For 128 Door licences, the 40% discount applies until the site license exceeds 128 Doors, at this time the
discount expires and full Per Door cost applies
– For 256 Door licences, the 40% discount applies until the site license exceeds 256 Doors, at this time the
discount expires and full Per Door cost applies
– For Unlimited Door licences, the 40% discount applies without expiry.

As per GSMS/Cardax distributor and dealer agreements, GSMS reserves the right to change pricing with one month’s
notice.
