Operations management is a crucial part of any business activity.


Operations include planning, organizing and managing the activities
included in the production of a product or services. Supply chain
management, handling of logistics, risk management are a part of the
activity which indulges in the management criteria. The evolution of the
operations activities to make themselves ready for any unforeseen
circumstances makes it an ever evolving part of management. All the
organisations have a backup plan to make the system stronger.
Covid 19 is a recent pandemic which has shaken the roots of the world
with its effect on the entire living environment. The pandemic has
affected the human lives in a physical, political and financial aspect.
Influencing the modern day lifestyle of the living being it is here to stay
for a long period of time.

Every sector has suffered a huge loss at hands of the unexpected


situation .Various industries have started the normal operations others
are still in the dilemma whether which way to go forward. Operations
Management is the part of every business which is responsible for
ensuring quality management with minimum resource exploitation. The
scarcity of resources due to stagnation of the transport and production
has brought about a drastic change in the working and outlook of the
employees. Various sectors such as healthcare etc are required to
maintain high quality of operation management as it is one of the
crucial sector of the economy. Quality check and procedure needs to be
maintained to ensure safety and security of public health. The other
vital sector which needs to upgrade the operations activity due to the
pandemic situation is the Food and beverages manufacturers. This
sector has been one of the essential one and as per the changing
scenarios it requires more attention to be paid on the operations of the
same. The food processing industries have to maintain a hi tech
operation management system to ensure safety of the customers and
maintain the brand value.

Other sectors such as hospitality, fitness and wellness also have to


maintain high level of care in the operations section as it is very crucial.
The restaurants and hotels have to maintain a proper operations
system to maintain the brand value and provide better services to its
customers. Customer Satisfaction is going to play a key role in the
working of various sectors specially the service sectors including
healthcare providers, essential service providers etc. The best
alternative is to upgrade the service system to maintain and procure
customers.
