Creative Writing Summer Prompts: End of the school year

1. If you could go to any country for the summer what would

it be and what would you do?
2. If you could create a summer club or organization what
would it be called and what will its focus be?
3. Pick a genre, write a fictional story about your summer
vacation using the literary elements that represent the genre
you choose.
4. Create a “Bucket list” of 25 goals that you would share
with your friends to try to completely before the summer is
over.
5. Write a letter to a Pen Pal describing what you believe this
summer would be like. Make you to include different
examples and express your opinion as to what you believe
the summer experience will be.
6. Complete a story that begins with “This summer, I went to
the beach and ……”
7. Recommend your favorite outdoor activities and why?
8. Recommend you favorite indoor activities and why?
9. Reflect on this school year of 2019-2020, what is your
favorite moment and what is your worst? (why?)
10. Write end of the year Acrostic poem with the word
(SUMMER)
11. Writing a letter of gratitude to someone that has really done
something remarkable for you this year and sending it to them.
