Tasks Performed

- The task I performed during my training at the rocca ristorante was basic because
I already experienced that before in my past on the job training. I observed the
rules and regulations of the department. I was first orient on the process of the
department and how to deal with different kind of guests.
After learning the rules, I started welcoming the guests in a warm and friendly
manner, ascertains their dining needs and responds to guest inquiries and requests
in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner and I also maintaining the cleanliness
inside and outside of the restaurant.

Observed Strength and Weaknesses of the Training Area

- The strength of the F&B department that i was observed was the employees assigned
at the department were hardworking and dedicated to their duties and
responsibilities.They are working harmoniously.

The weakness of the Rocca ristorante was the equipment for transaction used by the
staff were not really high , it was manually operated that makes the transaction
slower.

Insights

OJT in Torre Venezia Suites made me realized how hard work in a reality. It taught
me to be patient, passionate, focus, respectful, professional, and hardworking. I
learned that when you are patient, focus and passionate to what you’re doing, you
will deal other people professionally.

Challenges or difficulties before, during, or after the training

I had experienced mistake during on my training. The manager explained to me how to


present the menu to the guest. I made a mistake because I have no self confidence
in myself, to face the guest, that was my weakness.
I also avoided doing the same mistake again. Now I have improved my self
confidence. I've got to make mistake in order to learn and grow.

Suggestions for improvement

I highly suggests that the management should hire more employees for the restaurant
to attend the needs of their guests, because I noticed that the restaurant had more
ojt than regular employees, they are lack of employees.

Summary

-I finished my 560-hour training at the Torre Venezia Suites and I was assigned
in F&B department. In my hotel training, I applied my knowledge and skills in the
restaurant. I was able to clean the whole restaurant. I also experienced to clean
the public areas such as balcony and waiting area. I enhanced my interpersonal
skills, I was able to communicate with my co-trainees, employees of the
restaurant. I also boost my confidence and learned how to handle situations. It
taught me to come on time, be responsible at all times, and provide friendly
customer service. I was able to learned how to accept small or big mistakes. In
this practicum, I've learned how to faced the real world and talked to different
people.
