Yarn
Tiverton Tweed by Classic Elite Yarns
(90% superfine alpaca, 5% highland
wool, 5% viscose; 50 g = 98 yards)
6 hanks 2003 Brindle

Needles
Knitting needles in size US 15 (10 mm)
or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge
10 sts and 12 rows = 4” in Mesh stitch
with 2 strands of yarn held together,
blocked. Correct gauge is not crucial
to the success of this project.

Abbreviations Cable Cast-on Method: Place a slipknot on LH needle and k1, slip new st
BO: bind off onto LH needle; *insert RH needle between first 2 sts on LH needle, k1 from
CO: cast on this position, leave the first st on LH needle and slip new st onto LH needle.
k: knit Rep from * for desired number of sts.
k2tog: knit two sts together (1 st dec’d)
LH: left hand Scarf
RH: right hand With 2 strands of yarn held together, CO 28 sts by Cable Cast-on method.
sl: slip Knit 2 rows.
st(s): stitch(es)
tbl: through back loop Work in Mesh Stitch until scarf meas 72” or desired length, slightly stretched.
yo: yarn over (1 st inc’d) Knit 2 rows.

Pattern Stitches BO all sts as follows: K1, *sl the st on RH needle to LH needle and k2tog-tbl;
Mesh Stitch (even number of sts) rep from *.
All rows: K2, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to
last 2 sts, and end k2. Fasten off and block to measurements.
