Proposal for Publication in Materials Today: Proceedings

Materials Today: Proceedings welcomes proposals for publishing conference proceedings.

Your proposal will be evaluated based on suitability of scope and quality criteria, including the assurance that
all papers are original, will be subject to peer review before acceptance and have not been/will not be
published elsewhere. Once a decision is made, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Please note that only conferences and papers within the scope of materials science are suitable for
publication.

In order to properly evaluate your proposal we would like to ask you for some further information. Thank

Editorial details

Each issue requires a single individual to act as the Lead (Managing) Guest Editor. Please provide their

list EVERY Guest Editor below. A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 8 Guest Editors may be listed.

For prompt processing, we strongly recommend that the CVs/Publication Lists of all Guest Editors are
provided with the completed proposal form.

Please note: The use of Elsevier’s editorial management system is now a required component of
publishing in Materials Today: Proceedings. The Guest Editor(s) will use the editorial management system
to collect submissions, conduct peer review, request revisions, and ultimately accept/reject manuscripts.
Submissions outside of the editorial management system can no longer be published.

Publishing options

The following information will not be used to assess the suitability of the conference for publication in
Materials Today: Proceedings – however, the information must be completed to permit prompt processing.

Publishing route

The journal offers Open Access and traditional Subscription based publishing options.

Publishing proceedings Open Access means that articles will be immediately and
permanently free for everyone to read and download. The conference is responsible for the
cost of publication.

Publishing proceedings via the Subscriptions route means that articles are accessible to
institutions and individuals that subscribe to the journal: with journal subscribers ultimately
responsible for the publication costs.
