Final Evaluation Comments

Faculty Comments (Include strengths and areas for improvement):

Abigail, each week you have consistently demonstrate continued progression in the development of your
critical thinking skills, assessment skills, knowledge of medications and safety protocols. Since your
midterm evaluation, you have successfully completed a multiple head-to-toe assessment, administered
medications via various routes, placed indwelling urinary catheters, attempted peripheral IVs and many
other nursing tasks/skills successfully. Your great attention to detail and thoroughness is an excellent quality
to have as a nurse. You continuously show great communication skills with your client’s and other nurses.
Areas of continue growth include ongoing development of assessment skills, interpretation of diagnostic
exams, seeking opportunities to practice skills and using nursing process to develop an individualized plan
of care. Thank you for your flexibility and ongoing participation with all virtual clinical activities.
Student Comments (Identify three areas for development):

First: Medication knowledge. I have been able to identify multiple medications by memory now, but I want
to continue to grow my medication knowledge to the furthest extent.
Second: Slow down. I go too fast, which can quickly lead to an error or making me appear nervous in front
of a client or their family/loved ones.
Third: Head to toe assessment: I want to go through one smoothly without pausing- okay what will I do next.
With enough practice, this can easily be achieved.
