Join Today! The St. Mary’s
College Kisubi (SMACK)
Community SACCO was registered
under the Uganda Cooperative Act,
in August 2018. The SMACK
SACCO is a welfare initiative
intended for the benefit of the entire
SMACK fraternity, including but not
limited to all alumni of the great
college, their spouses and other
family members, for teaching and
non-teaching staff and generally
anyone who has an association to
SMACK in some way.
It was formed to address the
challenges faced in accessing
affordable and manageable credit
facilities, and will over time act as a
vehicle for accessing a wide range of
social security facilities to anyone
with any association to SMACK i.e.
alumni, current students, staff and
their families.
The vision of the SACCO is to be
the cooperative society of reference
for members for prosperity and
welfare. The SACCO is an
investment vehicle that propels
members to financial prosperity.
Joining requirements are payment of
a membership fee of 100,000ugx and
purchase of at least 1 share
@50,000ugx. Thereafter the
minimum monthly savings is
50,000ugx.
How do I join?
Please fill out an electronic form
located here. Otherwise one can also
visit the SACCO offices located at
Plot M625, UMA Showground,
Lugogo with their identification
documents and an initial installment
of Ugx. 50,000.
Asset Management funds, Treasury
Bills, Bonds, and through a funds
lending scheme to members at a
profit.
What is the monthly minimum
contribution?
Monthly minimum contribution is
Ugx. 50,000, members are free to
pay lump sums to cover future
period i.e. 6 months, 1 year or even
2 years depending on member
capability.
Is my money safe with the
SMACK SACCO?
Absolutely! The SMACK SACCO
is a legally registered SACCO under
the Uganda Cooperative Statute of
1991 and Cooperative Societies
Regulations of 1992.
