P: Well, Anna with two Ns.

A: My new apartment… yes.
Lesson 2: Hello, I’m Anna!
N: Hey, Pette , who’s your friend?
P: She is Anna. She is new to D.C.
N: Where are you from?
A: I’m from a small town/big city.
P: Welcome to D.C
A: Thank you.
N: I’m Jonathan. I am in apartment B4.
A: I am in apartment C2. Marsha is my roommate.
N: I know Marsha. She is nice.
P: And I am in apartment D7. I have to go now. Remember to call Marsha at work. Tell her
you’re here.
A: Right. Thanks, Pete. Nice to meet you.
N: You too. Bye.
A: Apartment C2, here I come.
Lesson 3: I’m here.
A: I am in my new apartment. Great! I live with Marsha. We’re roommates. I want to cook
dinner. Is there a supermarket near here? Marsha knows.

Hello, is this Marsha? It is Anna.
B: I’m sorry. You have the wrong number.
A: Is this 555-8986?
B: No, this is 555-8689.
A: Oh, excuse me.
B: Ok, bye.
A: One more time. Please be Marsha.
B: Hello, this is Marsha.
A: Yes, Marsha? I want to cook dinner.
B: Excuse me, Anna, is that you?
A: Oh, yes, I am here.
B: Good, you are there.
A: I want to find a supermarket.
B: Oh, okay. The supermarket is at 1500 Irving Street. It is near the apartment.
A: Great. Goodbye. There is a big supermarket on our street. And Marsha says I am a good
