1. When will admissions for Fall 2020 open (exact date)?

a. 13-July-20
2. When and where will university give its advertisement for admissions?
a. 13-July-20 onward in all leading newspapers as well as online
3. What will be the process of applying for admissions?
a. Will receive applications online. Applicants would be able to apply online sitting home, however,
any applicant visiting Admission Office can complete the online application here.
4. Will prospectus be available on website?
a. We are not providing full prospectus in hard copy. Instead, a limited number of shorter version
“Admission Guide” will be printed in hard copy to be given to applicants visiting Admission Office.
b. Admission guide will be available on online after paying fee Rs 700/-.
c. Students will have to access Admission Guide while completing online admission form.
5. From where applicants could purchase admission guide?
a. Please see above. UOL will charge Rs.700/- per copy for the Admission Guide available for sale
at UOL Admission Office and applicant pay online by using Easypaisa/Credit Card in favor of
“University of Lahore”. payment will not be acceptable after announced due date
b. In case of Payment in Admission Office Cash Counter, after receiving payment, we will issue
admission guide along with Sale Slip including voucher code. The confirmation code will be
sent through SMS / Email.
c. In case of Payment through online using EasyPaisa/Credit card at online Admission Portal, after
receiving payment and successful submission of form, we will send admission guide along with
voucher code to applicant home address. The confirmation code will be sent through SMS /
Email
d. No bank draft will be accepted
6. Will prospectus be available in all campuses in Lahore including city campus and LLM campus?
a. Yes, admission guide will be available at all campuses from any UOL campuses
b. For admission to other campuses, please check separate advertisement
c. To avoid any inconvenience, applicants are advised to apply to the respective campus where
the applicant is seeking admission
7. What will be the price of admission guide?
a. Admission Guide price: Rs.700/-. No bank draft will be accepted
8. Could applicants be able to get prospectus by courier by sending bank draft to university?
a. No bank draft will be accepted
9. What will be the fee for bank draft?
a. No bank draft will be accepted
10. What will be the last date to purchase admission guide?
a. Last date to apply at campus: 7-Aug-20
b. Last date to apply through EasyPaisa/credit card: 6-Aug-20
11. What will be the last date to apply for admissions?
a. Last date to apply at campus: 7-Aug-20
12. Will university reopen its admissions after phase 1?
a. It will be finalized after completion of 1st Phase, depending upon availability of vacant seats.
Then second campaign will be started.
13. Students who have supplementary in their previous degree, could they also apply for admissions and
students whose result is in waiting apply for admissions?
a. Only pass or result awaiting students can apply for admission in fall-20
b. Complete Documents will be submitted within two weeks after start of the classes
14. Will entry test be mandatory for all programs? Specify programs for which entry test will not be
mandatory.
a. Due to Carona virus Pandemic issue we will arrange online Entry Test/Interview for this semester
only. Yes, entry test / interview mandatory for some degree programs.
b. Please note department-wise details will be shared with you once we receive confirmation from
each department.
15. What will be the minimum passing marks in entry test?
a. 50% passing marks to qualify UOL test / interview
16. What will be the fee structure for all programs?
a. Different degree programs have different FEE criteria; all the necessary information is available
on UOL website.
17. Will university give merit based scholarships or any other scholarship (e.g. kinship) at the time of
admission?
a. After getting admission, applicant can apply for concession by filling in a prescribed Fee
Concession Form, OSA will issue fee concession form
18. If there is any scholarship or quota, then what is its criteria?
a. Different degree programs have different fee concession criteria as per need, all the necessary
information available in OSA office
19. Does university offer sports base admission or admission on any other quota?
a. Yes, UOL offers admissions on sport trials, each case will be processed as per current and
previous performances.
b. Appropriate scholarships could also be granted as per applicant’s record for available sports
games.
c. List of sports games available at UOL website/Admission Guide and in the Sports Office
20. What will be the date of entry test/interview?
a. Date of Online Entry test/Interview: 8 Aug-20 for (Engineering/CS/SE/Architect)
b. Date of Online Entry test/Interview: 9-Aug-20 for (all Other Degree programs MPhil/PhD)
21. How students could get fee voucher?
a. After getting admission, applicant get admission letter / fee voucher through email and by
courier
b. Each department will also dispatch admission letter/ fee voucher on applicants’ home address
22. In which bank will students have to pay their fee? Could they pay across Pakistan?
a. All the necessary information will be available on Admission letter / fee voucher.
23. How will students know or get satisfied that university has received fee submitted by them?
a. After payment of fee, the applicant must submit university copy to the university (Fee-recovery
email id: feerecovery@uol.edu.pk) thorough email which is already mentioned on fee voucher
24. Will students have to submit university copy of paid challan form to university? If yes, then what is its
procedure especially for the students living outside Lahore?
a. After payment of fee, the applicant should submit university copy to the to the university
thorough email which is already mentioned on fee voucher
25. How foreign national students can apply for admission in UOL?
a. Foreign applicants will follow the procedure for admission as given by the HEC, and admission
of such students is processed by the Office of the Director, Students Affairs (OSA).
b. Also, after admission, OSA will provide support to all foreign/international applicants i.e
hostel/boarding, transportation, admission and other necessary documentation for obtaining
visa, a counter is available in OSA for international applicants’ inquiries
26. Specify the number of seats in department for each program?
a. Certain departments have a specific number of approved seats and admission cannot exceed
beyond the approved number of seats. These include: MBBS, BDS, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical
Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Computing. Other programmes have no
specific number of seats. We will share data after it is finalized by the concerned departments.
27. Where will the entry test be conducted?
a. Date of Online Entry test/Interview: 8 Aug-20 for undergraduate (Engineering/CS/SE/Architect)
and MPhil/PhD
i. Morning 9:30am to 11:30am
ii. Afternoon 12:00pm to 2:00pm
iii. Evening 2:30pm to 4:30pm
b. Date of Online Entry test/Interview: 9-Aug-20 for (all Other Degree programs MPhil/PhD)
i. Morning 9:30am to 11:30am
ii. Afternoon 12:00pm to 2:00pm
iii. Evening 2:30pm to 4:30pm
28. When will be the orientation and commencement of classes?
a. Classes will start from 21-Sep-20 (1st semester) Morning programs
b. Classes will start from 19-Sep-20 (1st semester) Weekend programs
c. Orientation week from 21-Sep-20 to 27-Sep-20
29. What is the weightage of matriculation, intermediate, and previous degree marks in the formation of
merit?
a. Different degree programs have different merit formation for merit calculation
b. Following are general merit formation but can be changed by the department as per UOL policy
i. Matric 10%(optional)
ii. Intermediate 30 %(optional)
iii. Entry Test 40%(optional)
iv. Interview 10% (optional)
v. Other Qualification 10% (Optional)
30. For how many programs a student can apply on one Admission Guide?
a. Applicants can apply for one (01) main subject and two (02) optional subjects against one (01)
application form.
b. Entry Test/Interview assessment will be made on priority 1st choice only
c. Can a student change its degree program after the confirmation of his/her admission? If yes,
what is its procedure?
d. Yes, after getting admission or fee submission, applicant can change degree program as per
availability of seat, by submitting application to the concern department HOD / Dean or to the
Admission Office
31. Can a student get migrated from any other university to UOL?
a. Yes, any student from other university campus can apply for migration.
b. The eligibility of migration will be assessed by the HOD/Dean of the respective department.
c. Currently, migration is closed from other university.
32. Can a student get migrated from any other campus of UOL to Lahore main campus? If yes, then what
is its procedure?
a. Yes, any student from the other UOL campus can apply for Subject/Degree/credit hours transfer
and will adopt same procedure except appearing in Entry test,
b. They can apply in 2nd week of September
33. When and where will the result of entry test be announced?
a. Entry test results will be announced on UOL website on Monday 10-Aug-20 at 5PM
b. Also, all applicants will be informed through email/SMS, if successful
