(1) Maximum interpass temperature = 400oF
(2) Maximum interpass temperature = 450oF
(3) Maximum interpass temperature = 550oF
(4) Over 4.0" thick, preheat = 300oF

d. Minimum Preheat and Interpass Temperature: When welding two or more material types of same or
varying thickness’, use the higher preheat indicated. Note: When welding P&H 7 to any other
material, the maximum interpass temperature must be strictly controlled on the P&H 7, while also
assuring minimum preheat and interpass temperatures on both materials.
