Setting
The story takes place at school and in a school bus.

Conflict
Roy finds a strange boy running that’s about his same age. He goes on a mission
to find the boy. A bully Dana is the only person in his way. Eventually he finds the
strange boy.
Main Events
1. On the way to school Roy noticed a boy running around a block barefoot and
looked homeless.
2. Roy gets in a fight with Dana
3. Roy finally finds the boy and they started to talk.
4. Beatrice tells Roy that she is the strange boys step sister
5. Roy apologizes to Dana for punching him
6. Roy found a bunch of owl dens where the city is adding buildings
7. Roy makes everyone look at the owl dens
8. Roy saves the owls homes
Climax
The most exciting part of the story for me was when Roy went to Dana’s house
and tried to be sneaky and not seen, but he was found.
Resolution
In the end, Roy makes a scene to save the owls dens. Soon he saves them and is
happy.
Theme
Something I learned while reading Hot was that you can’t let anyone stop you.
Roy was stopped by Dana on his mission to find that mysterious boy. Even though
Dana did that, it didn’t stop Roy from finding the mysterious boy.
