Personality test: the big five

On my Big Five personality test, I scored very high in the 90 th percentile for open-
mindedness and also accumulated a high score for the agreeableness category. In the
remaining three categories, conscientiousness, extraversion, and negative emotionality, I
managed to total moderate to lower scores pointing to character and personality flaws and
simultaneously explained constant negative aspects to my productivity.

When it comes to scoring high in open-mindedness, it’s no surprise to me due to the

generally positive and continuous tendency to be agreeable and understanding to new and
open discussions. I have a tendency to apply fresh and open view-points to discussion topics;
even within the last psych discussion paper I offered an inclusive idea to a complex question. I
generally like to offer an open and safe space to include and accept the idea that all view-points
are worth being heard and people feel accepted, even with drastically different opinions.

In the conspicuousness category I scored in a lower percentage, which is also not very
surprising. I have an overbearing tendency to be scatter brained and disorganized. This tips the
weight of my self-discipline and disorganized life style. I am typically a messy person,
aesthetically. Due to my disorganized lifestyle, I do tend to turn in assignments on the edge of
deadlines and sometimes after due, simply because of my inability to keep things in line an in a
good enough pattern to get tasks done in a timely manner.

I am very lukewarm when it comes to my stance on intro and extroversion. I have never
really considered myself an extrovert simply because, although I do enjoy being surrounded by
people and possess high energy and thrill when in a good and awake environment, I find myself
needing personal time to recuperate and reenergize because I do tend to feel drained after a
big event. The Big Five defined my extraversion as “neither particularly social or reserved”. This
makes for good connections with strangers and classmates. I don’t shove my personality in
their face or generally ‘intimidate’ others with a loud personality, but seek quieter and quick
social interactions that make the places I’m making my environment feel more secure.

I can tend to be an emotional person in times of stress and confusion but The Big Five
depicted my Negative Emotionality as ‘generally relaxed’ meaning that I don’t get easily
nervous or anxious in any “typically stressful” scenarios. Even when it comes down to final
deadlines, I don’t find myself feeling stressed or on edge.
