Team Charter
Our team charter is going to define our groups overall goals,
resources, and purpose. This charter is going to explain how exactly the final project is going to operate, the decisions that were made, and who did what during the assignment. Our overall goal from this assignment is learning how to work well with a group and to understand social processes in organizations more clearly towards the end of this class so we can use it for our future endeavors. When you do more group work, it’ll really help for more opportunities in the future and promote student learning and achievement. Not only that, but this project will help us with our critical thinking. All of these skills are important to good team work both in the classroom and the workplace. Our mission statement is going to be, “To create a national space where every person has safety and warmth.” We really want our project to focus on the understanding of people who suffer from mental health and what we can do to help and support them. First things first, we need to assign roles to everyone in the group and make sure they know exactly what they’re doing. As a group, we really tried to understand what our strong suits when it comes to doing projects. Micheal mentioned how powerpoints really aren’t his strong suit and took the role of writing the Synopsis of the Team. Once he’s finished writing the synopsis he’s going to make sure to send it to both Lazarus and I so we can proofread and double check to make sure nothing is missing and everything is spell checked. Having someone else read your paper is very helpful because they can check to see if you’re being repetitive, or when you might need a paragraph break or even a simpler word. There’s never any harm in double checking things. Lazarus and I decided that we were both going to split up the powerpoint presentation. We both agreed that we enjoy creating presentations so we should take on the powerpoint. I’m going to do the first four slides while Lazarus does the last four. We're going to do this on google slides because we can both see the work we're doing and can provide corrections or more information to each other's slides. Once we're done doing the powerpoint, we're going to send it to Micheal so he can also see the result for himself. He will go over the powerpoint himself just to triple checked if we both missed something or had any grammar issues. Micheal took on the role of being the final proofread editor while I’m in charge of the project process. I’m personally going to be in charge of keeping track of due dates. We’re going to start the project this week meaning tomorrow June 15. We will continue to share ideas and communicate with each other. The day before the project is due which is June 23rd, we're going to have the project finished and share what we have done thus far. This is where we're going to correct any mistakes, or add anything that we need to add. It’s also very important to set norms for your project. Our norms, so we have a successful project in the end is practice being open minded, supporting each other, communicating, listening to understand, and present problems that end in a mutual discussion. We know as a group, if we follow these norms it’ll result in a successful project.
