Elephants are mammals. They have


babies and feed them on milk. They live
on the plains Africa and India. They are
about 3.3 metres tall and weight about
4.000 kilos. Elephants have big ears and
a long trunk. They can walk long
distances because they have got four
strong legs. They sleep during the night
and they eat leaves and fruits. They live
in groups. They live for about sixty years.

What is this animal? On the plains in Africa and India.

How long is its trunk? Four
How tall is it? Because it has got strong legs.
How much does it weigh? About 3.1 metres.

Penguins lay eggs and they’ve got wings, so they are


like other birds, but they can’t fly! They can swim
very well. They are black and white, and they’ve got
small wings, very short legs and a short tail. They’ve
also got thick feathers to keep them warm in cold
water. They weigh about twenty kilos. Penguins look
funny when they walk. However, when they are in
the water, they swim like fish. Penguins live on the
ice of Antarctica and in the sea around it. They live
in big groups and they eat fish. They live for about
twenty years.
