Calculating Discounts

You can calculate a discount two ways. Either through division, using fractions of a
whole, or through multiplication using a decimal. In this worksheet, we will be
talking about multiplication.
$10 If you are given a discount, the first thing you will need to do is convert
the percentage into a decimal. Once that is done, to find the

0 discount, you only need to multiply the original price
by the decimal.
In this example, the item was originally $100, $ 100
and it has a discount of 20%, x 0.20
so the equation will look like this.
