It is extremely very small pressure drop in the chart during end of the holding period  , I believe the

drop
in line indications may be due to many factor such as vibrations of the recorder, or may be due to the tip
of the pointer heat, or there may be a condensation due to quite a lot variant inside and outside
temperature difference.

As there is no physical deformations, or leaks during the holding period and also there was no any
pressure drop observed in installed gauges . so this test can be accepted.

Please Let me know if any further clarification.

The pressure rises in the chart during the holding period, I believe the increase of pressure in
line indications may be due to many factors such as outside temperature difference &
Temperature variation in closed system or
may be due to the Water volumetric temperature expansion effected by temperature
fluctuation.

may be the very small-bore diameter of the hose and its length, between the manifold (where
the recorder was connected) and the tested pip spools, the pressure recording could have been
affected.

The full test pressure shall be held for at least 30 minutes or as long as required to complete the
inspection, whichever is greater, unless otherwise specified by the Company. Examination of the system
shall only commence after a period of 30 minutes under full test pressure.
The actual pressure applied shall not exceed the test pressure by more than 1%. Should the actual
pressure exceed the test pressure by more than ±1% (due to temperature variation in a closed system)
the system shall be vented to reduce the pressure to the specified test pressure.
Ensure that stable conditions have been attained prior to checking system for leaks. External surfaces should be
dry before commencing leak checking

Water volumetric temperature expansion coefficient (β) is influenced by the

temperature as it is shown below.

Increase the pipe wall temperature and water causes circumferential

expansion of the pipe wall and an increase in volume of the test liquid. The
combined effect of these expansions has the same effect as pumping
additional water into the test section and will cause an increase in pressure.
