UREA MOLASSES MINERAL TUBE

Introduction
Urea molasses mineral tube is one of the food supplements for goat. By means of UMMT, goat
can grow faster. This supplement is not just for goats but also for carabaos, sheep, and cows. Due to
its protein, energy and mineral contents, the production of milk and meat of animals is faster than its
normal growth. It can also increase the weight of animals with the use of UMMT.
UMMB was also introduced by the Farmer Livestock School, however, it was observed that
because of it’s blocked-shape, it is very easy for the said animals to eat the supplement which is not
good for their health. This kind of supplement has urea that can poison the animals if taken
inappropriately.

Objectives
1. To make food supplement for goat, carabao, sheep, and cow; and
2. To identify the materials and ingredients for making food supplement.

Materials
 1.9kg molasses
 1.9kg rice bran
 0.05kg salt
 0.5kg urea
 0.5kg cement
 0.15kg dicaphos
 Pale or basin (for mixing purposes)
 Shovel
 Weighing scale

Procedure
1. Weigh the ingredients to the given measurement.

2. Pour the molasses in the basin. Mix well using a shovel.

2.1. While mixing, put the urea slowly.

2.2. Put the dicaphos, salt, and cement. Mix continuously.
2.3. Mix in the rice bran using hands to make sure that it will be mixed properly to the other
ingredients.
3. After mixing, weigh the mixture by one kilogram.

4. Shape each kilogram into tube-like and air-dry.
