1. R. K. industry spends $4000 to process 100 orders and $6000 to process 200 orders.
Find the linear relation between the processing money and the number of orders. Also
find the money spent for 300 orders. What do you know about MPC and MPS and
interpret them?

2. Assume that you buy a TV set for $1200 and agree to pay for it in 18 equal monthly
payments at 2.5% interest per month on the unpaid balance. (i) How much are your
payments? (ii) How much interest will you pay?

3. A man invested $50,000 partly in a bank fetching interest at the rate of 5% per annum
and the rest in a company fetching interest at rate of 6%.per annum. At the end of a
year, he received annual interest of $2780. Using matrix method find how much

4. The difference between simple and compound interest on a sum for 3 years at 5% is
$76.25. Find the sum

5. To control a certain crop disease it is necessary to use 8 units of chemical A, 14 units


of chemical B and 13 units of C. One barrel of spray P contains one unit of A, 2 units
of B and 3 units of C. One barrel of spray Q contains 2 units of A, 3 units of B and 2
units of C. One barrel of spray R contains one unit of A, 2 units of B and 2 units of C.
How many barrels of each type of spray should be used to control the disease?
