Task 1
Executive Summary

Introduction (50)
Recruitment, selection and induction process is an important part in an organisation. It is the
responsibility of the management team to check the number of staff required for their
organisation to satisfy their customers demand . In this report PAX Hotel is chosen to conduct
this study. This report sheds lights on the recruitment process of the applicant, selection process
and the suitable criteria for their applicants.
● Number of staff required: The organisation required 03 employees which are as
follows:
1. 1 Permanent employee for the post of receptionist.
2. 1 Casual employee for the post of Sales assistant.
3. 1 volunteer for the post of customer assistant.
● The employee structure:The employee structure of their employee is as:
1. Permanent employee: Receptionist welcomes the guest and assist them on the preparation
of their bills and their transaction.
2. Casual employee: Sales assistant increase the hotel publicity in the market and generate
the hotel sales.
3. Volunteers: Customer assistant helps the guest in the floor and take the feedback from the
guest.
● Process of application: The applicant can apply for the vacant post through email and
with the help of online job search portal that is Seek.
● Schedule the interview for the applicant: The panel interview requires to fill the vacant
post.
● Selection criteria for the post: The selection criteria is the applicant shortlisted
according to their educational qualification and experience. Additionally, applicants have
to undergo for the general english and mathematics assessment. Moreover, if the
applicants qualify both levels then the applicants send to the interview panel for their
final selection. The selection criteria for the various types of employees requires are as
follows:

parking slot.

Details of the job are as follows for the desire post:
● Receptionist: Welcome the guest and manage their guest in billing and transaction.
● Sales assistant: Generate the hotel sales and make the publicity in the market.
● Customer assistant: Volunteer the customer seating arrangement and maintain the
cordial environment.

This can be concluded that it is the responsibility of the hotel management team to hire the best
suitable candidate for their business who have the ability to manage the guest and generate sales
in the market.The desired candidate must be able to meet the desired job description and the

Assessment Task 2(500)
Introduction (50)
Selection is the process to fill the right candidate in the desired post. It is a process by which an
organisation can select the best candidate among all and who have all the desired skills and have
the ability to take the challenge. The desired candidate can meet the company recruitment and
needs. This study shed light on reviewing the candidate CV and select those who meet the
criteria of the organisation. The candidate must undergo for the interview panel and after
selecting the suitable applicant for the post.
Reviewing the applicant CV (100)
Reviewing the applicant CV I would like to focus on the following point which judge the
applicant potential which are as follows:
● Cover Page: I would check the presentation of the applicant cover page. Additionally,
the way the applicant can present their potential and weakness.
● Career Objective: Career objective is the part by which candidate can able to judge
about their target towards in future.
● Education Qualification: The candidate must meet the educational requirement which
states by the management. According to me I am not so much interest in the education
qualification of the application.
● Skills : I would like to depict on the applicant interest and innovative skills. Additionally,
I am also concentrate on the candidate hobbies.
Shortlisting the desired candidate (50)
I have shortlisted those candidates who are able to meet the educational qualification criteria.
Additionally, those candidates who present their CV and cover page in the sequence manner as
well. According to Aziz et al. (2017), career objective is the first step to judge the best applicant
because in career objective candidate shows their potential and future aspects. On the other hand,
I select those candidates who have innovation skills and achievements.
Interviewing the candidates (150)
I would like to conduct the face to face interview with the applicani so I am able to judge the
applicant's potential and skills. I would like to ask the following questions to the applicant which
are as follows:
HR: Your CV seems to be likable. Let me know something about yourself.
Interviewee: Thanks! I would like to introduce myself as a fresher eager to get acquainted with a
corporate culture. I have graduated with a masters in business administration and waiting to get
the best out of my degree.
HR: Suppose you are posted to high topographical cities, how you can manage your lifestyle and
habits as you are from metropolitan city.
Interviewee: Yes, all willingly I would efficiently love to join on such topography experiencing a
new lifestyle.
HR: Why would you like to join our business and let me know about your expectations.
Interviewee: I would certainly love to, however if my selection is approved. My expectation
would be the best as per industry standards.
Selecting the best suitable candidate among all (100)
I am selecting those applicants who are able to take instant decisions and apply their education
knowledge in the practical life. Additionally, according to me the applicant who have strong
passion of travelling. According to Wu et al. (2016), salary should not be the only motive of an
applicant. The applicant must be passionate about their work and ready to take new challenges in
their daily life as well.
Conclusion (50)
It is concluded that a desired candidate always focus on the work and always have the interest to
take challenge about their work. According to my point of view, the candidate who have the
passion of travelling can be the best suits because without proper travel a candidate never able to
achieve their targets and goals. It is the responsibility of the management team to select the best
best candidate from all the applicants and those who can easily answer all the interview
questions easily. I would like to select those candidates who are able to meet the deadline of their
respective works.
Assessment Task 3 (400)
Introduction (50)
Organisation always searching for the candidate who are able to meet the business target.
Checklist is the note reminder for those who are able to submit some documents in an
organisation. Applicant can check those checklists and bring the necessary documents for their
requirement. This study sheds light on the preparations of checklist and follows the organisation
rules for the organisation betterment.
Preparation of checklist for the selected candidate (200)
The selected candidates must follow the following checklist provided by the company to
maintain their joining process.

Organisation have their own rules and regulations for their respective employees. In employee
handbook there are employee acceptance and confidentiality policies are present which are as
follows:
1. Employee acceptance letter: It is an acceptance letter from the company side that the
employee satisfy from the terms and conditions of the organisation and the pay a gesture
of the employee.
2. In an organisation every employee have to maintain the cordial environment in their
workplace.
3. There are some policies of an organisation which are prohibition of sexual of secual
harasment, harassment regarding reporting.
4. In the employee handbook there are specific column for employee attendance rules and
their daily working hours, numbers of holidays.
5. Every organisation have their own overtime policies and the rates which is described in
the employee handbook and the employer pay the employee according to the employee
handbook.
6. Employee handbook contains the employee insurance and benefits provided by the
organisation.
Conclusion (50)
It is concluded that in an organisation there are own rules and regulations which every employee
have to follow in their workplace. On the other hand, if the candidate is not passionate about
their work, they never give their best for the organisation growth.Additionally, a checklist plays
an important part in the new candidate joining because at the time of joining the applicant must
have to submit the required documents. Checklist helps the candidate to arrange all the
documents and submit it to the concerned department.
Assessment Task 4
31. All the applicant must be notified of the outcome because it helps the candidate to rectify
their fault and the weak areas. Additionally, candidate work on their weaker part and helps them
to crack the next round of interviews.
The unsuccessful candidate must focus on their communication skills and their analysis
power.On the other hand, Shahmohammadi (2015), mentioned that the applicant must be focused
on their weaker part and tries to implement the rejection as the success for their next step.

29. In today’s fast forwarding world, the job advertisement plays an important role. According to
Christensen and Haugen (2018), a job advertisement is the announcement for the organisation
vacant post. The aim of job advertisement is to notify the potential applicant about the job and
helps them to apply for the vacant post. Job advertisement increase the job sourcing visibility.
On the other hand, it helps the candidate to apply for their vacant in a less cost and effort.
28. Staffing needs is mainly controlled by the human resource management and the team leader.
Additionally, there are some issues which have to rectify by the human resource management
team to maintain the colloidal environment in the workplace. Human resources are the main
bodies who have control over their employee.

communication. Skill sets helps applicant to prepare the candidate for the particular profile. In
skill test candidate have developed their initial stage and prepare them for the desired
position.The job role which requires skill test are as follows:
1. Operation related job: In operation jon the applicant must know how to solve the analytic
problem while in danger.
2. Information Technologies job
3. Manager related job.
21. Skill profile is the essential parts in summarise the skills, experience and
knowledge.According to Alahmadi and Qureshi (2015), manager generally use the skill profile to
perform their daily activities and manage their juniors in an organisation.
Skill profile must be implemented within an organisation where there are a number of people
working under a single head like manager, operation head.
