 INTRODUCTION

Present perfect continuous is a time that we use particularly to talk about an action that started in
the past but continues in the present. It is formed with the verb have or has, depending on the
subject of the sentence, been (the past participle of the verb to be) and the main verb of the gerundia
sentence (ending with -ing).

Present perfect continuous is the verb tense indicating that an action has already started in the past and
continues until the time we are in, that is, the present.
It is very common to use the prepositions of time to express sentences that are conjugated in this verb
tense, since they indicate the period of time for which the mentioned action or activity has been taking
place.
