During the 1768 American Revolution, a new idea emerged, disfiguring the contemporary model of

church-state relation. With America possessing a religion so diverse, a question pop up that is “How
could the state establish the religion of the sovereign when the sovereign people in America belonged to
many faiths? (Feldman…) hence, the framers composed a constitution for the first time with the state
having no state religion.
