Advantech Approved CPU Coolers are

Recommended to Avoid Deformation of


Motherboards
Using the incorrect CPU cooler could cause the motherboard to deform. To ensure the
stable and reliable operation of the motherboard for industrial applications, it is highly
recommended that a CPU cooler be installed in a retention module to reduce deformation.
It is not recommended to use a CPU cooler with a ‘push pin’ design since there is no
retention module on the solder side to sustain the heavy weight of the CPU cooler. Please
refer to the below photo:

To prevent the CPU cooler from damaging motherboards, we highly recommend the
following two Advantech-approved CPU coolers.
